  可持續(xù)運輸被視為運輸能力,它以促進(jìn)近代和后代的社會和經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展并限制負(fù)面環(huán)境影響的方式,保證個人和貨物的流動性。只要運輸獲得全球支持,以改變和減少其負(fù)面外部影響,運輸就可以幫助應(yīng)對現(xiàn)代挑戰(zhàn),包括影響人類生命和健康的交通事故,空氣和噪聲污染,浪費的時間以及與溫室氣體有關(guān)的氣候變化排放。但是,目前,運輸車輛和基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施的發(fā)展往往會對可持續(xù)性構(gòu)成重大威脅。因此,必須權(quán)衡增加流動性的好處與社會,環(huán)境和經(jīng)濟(jì)方面的成本。貫徹可持續(xù)發(fā)展的原則可以在多個方面取得進(jìn)展。每個維度都可以在可衡量的要素中定義,即可持續(xù)運輸系統(tǒng)的目標(biāo)。為了實現(xiàn)環(huán)境的可持續(xù)性,該系統(tǒng)需要最大限度地減少資源消耗,最大化土地利用效率并限制對生態(tài)系統(tǒng)的影響,包括廢物和污染的產(chǎn)生。為了實現(xiàn)經(jīng)濟(jì)的可持續(xù)性,要求該系統(tǒng)必須有效地促進(jìn)人員和貨物的流動,促進(jìn)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展,并且不會造成社會的經(jīng)濟(jì)脆弱性。為了獲得社會可持續(xù)性,該系統(tǒng)以與安全和人類健康相一致的方式滿足所有個人的訪問需求,并促進(jìn)社會互動和公平。此外,可持續(xù)交通要求在所有這三個維度上發(fā)展可持續(xù)交通行為。為了向決策者提供有效和完整的概念框架,以全面,全面地評估運輸,需要一個框架,其中包括可持續(xù)發(fā)展...
