The Landslide Handbook–A Guide to Understanding Landslides(《地質(zhì)滑坡指導手冊》(譯))由成都理工大學地質(zhì)災(zāi)害防治與地質(zhì)環(huán)境保護國家重點實驗室委托作者進行翻譯。該手冊不僅加強國內(nèi)學者對國外文獻知識的學習,同時增進其他人員對地質(zhì)災(zāi)害的基礎(chǔ)認知。本報告以該手冊的翻譯工作為基礎(chǔ),作者負責的部分為20,412字。該手冊屬于地質(zhì)科技文本,與文學類翻譯不同,有其自身的特點和要求;而中英文在用語習慣、語言特征等方面也存在較大差異,致使譯者在翻譯過程中遇到較多難點。因此,譯前,本報告對文章語言特征進行分析,介紹原文特點。譯中,譯者在尤金·奈達功能對等理論指導下,通過案例分析,分別從詞匯、句法及語篇層面來闡明翻譯過程中的難點及相應(yīng)翻譯技巧與方法的使用。在詞匯層面,由于文本專業(yè)性較強,地質(zhì)專業(yè)術(shù)語較多,因此譯者查閱專業(yè)詞匯辭典后,對比平行文本,選出適宜的譯文。在句法層面,由于文本多被動句、名詞化結(jié)構(gòu)、長難復雜句,因此譯者采用了語態(tài)轉(zhuǎn)化,詞性轉(zhuǎn)化,拆分、重組等翻譯技巧。在語篇層面,由于原文為避免重復或起強調(diào)作用,出現(xiàn)了省略或重復現(xiàn)象,因此譯者采用增譯...
