英語閱讀在英語教學(xué)中占有非常重要的地位。在我國,英語教改歷經(jīng)多年的探索與實踐,取得了很大發(fā)展,但目前中等師范學(xué)校英語專業(yè)學(xué)生的英語閱讀水平普遍較低,自主閱讀能力很差。教學(xué)中普遍采用傳統(tǒng)教學(xué),教師處于中心地位,主導(dǎo)整個課堂,而學(xué)生只是被動的接受者。教師更注重詞匯、語法和語言點的講解,忽視了學(xué)生閱讀水平的提高和自主閱讀能力的培養(yǎng),因而學(xué)生的英語閱讀方面存在很大問題。建構(gòu)主義教學(xué)理論強調(diào)以學(xué)生為中心,開展合作學(xué)習(xí),認為知識不是由教師傳授的,而是由學(xué)習(xí)者自身在一定的情境下通過自己的學(xué)習(xí)及他人的幫助,并通過意義建構(gòu)的方式獲得的。結(jié)合建構(gòu)主義理論和學(xué)生實際,筆者提出基于建構(gòu)主義的中師英語專業(yè)閱讀教學(xué)模式。本文旨在探討基于建構(gòu)主義教學(xué)模式對提高中等師范學(xué)校英語專業(yè)學(xué)生閱讀水平和自主閱讀能力是否可行,具體研究兩個問題:1)建構(gòu)主義教學(xué)能否提高中等師范學(xué)校英語專業(yè)學(xué)生閱讀水平?2)建構(gòu)主義教學(xué)能否提高中等師范學(xué)校英語專業(yè)學(xué)生自主閱讀能力?筆者以所在單位——河北唐山師范學(xué)院玉田分校（中等師范學(xué)校性質(zhì)）英語專業(yè)一年級進行了為期18周的閱讀教學(xué)實驗。在筆者所帶的兩個教學(xué)班中,一（3）班被隨機抽取為實驗班,一（...
