從繕性至心智訓(xùn)練——Mental discipline在中國的引入

【摘要】:Mental discipline是民國時期由嚴(yán)復(fù)從西方教育哲學(xué)中引入的概念,它蘊含著西方經(jīng)典的教育價值取向。迄今為止,國內(nèi)學(xué)者采取的譯名有繕性、心智訓(xùn)練、智力訓(xùn)練以及心靈陶冶?樞缘茸g名既有其產(chǎn)生的學(xué)術(shù)史土壤,亦包含了譯者對于教育的價值期待,然其合宜性有待商榷。相較而言,心智形塑一詞,規(guī)避了訓(xùn)練的嚴(yán)苛和機械之涵義,其在教育方向、方式和教育對象的涵義方面更貼合原詞。
[Abstract]:Mental discipline is a concept introduced by Yan Fu from western educational philosophy during the Republic of China. It contains the western classical educational value orientation. The translation of the names of intelligence training and spiritual edification, and so on, not only has its academic history, but also contains the translator's expectation of value for education, but its suitability is open to question. It evades the harsh and mechanical meaning of training, and fits the original word in the direction of education, the way and the meaning of the object of education.
