【摘要】:魯?shù)婪颉ぐ⒓{亞是當(dāng)代著名的墨西哥裔美國(guó)文學(xué)作家,是極少數(shù)既在西語(yǔ)裔族群內(nèi)部又在美國(guó)主流社會(huì)享有不凡聲望的作家之一。長(zhǎng)篇小說(shuō)《保佑我,烏爾蒂瑪》是阿納亞的處女作,也是其最著名的作品,已被公認(rèn)為奇卡諾文學(xué)乃至美國(guó)族裔文學(xué)的經(jīng)典作品之一。因?yàn)轶w現(xiàn)了在矛盾中實(shí)現(xiàn)和諧統(tǒng)一,文化和解這一普遍主題,《保佑我,烏爾蒂瑪》一經(jīng)出版不僅在西語(yǔ)裔群內(nèi)部而且在美國(guó)主流社會(huì)引起了熱烈反響和得到了較高評(píng)價(jià)。 文化和解主題之所以能引起廣大讀者的共鳴主要是因?yàn)椤侗S游?烏爾蒂瑪》出版的20世紀(jì)70年代,美國(guó)社會(huì)處于矛盾空前激化的時(shí)期,這個(gè)時(shí)期除了奇卡諾運(yùn)動(dòng),還有黑人民權(quán)運(yùn)動(dòng)和亞裔民權(quán)運(yùn)動(dòng)等。他們要求在各個(gè)領(lǐng)域獲得與白人同等的權(quán)利,打破盎格魯-撒克遜文化一統(tǒng)天下的局面。在此過(guò)程中暴力沖突和流血斗爭(zhēng)也成為了司空見(jiàn)慣的現(xiàn)象。在這種社會(huì)對(duì)立漸趨嚴(yán)重的背景下,《保佑我,烏爾蒂瑪》所體現(xiàn)的和解主題不僅受到了墨西哥裔讀者的認(rèn)同,也受到了美國(guó)主流社會(huì)的歡迎。因而本論文將聚焦于文化和解這一主題,以強(qiáng)調(diào)在充滿矛盾對(duì)立的社會(huì),和解是矛盾沖突的唯一解決之道。 而本文將從符號(hào)的角度探討《保佑我,烏爾蒂瑪》中文化沖突及和解的主題,從而揭示在種種矛盾沖突下,和解是可以實(shí)現(xiàn)的。生活中的許許多多的“神話”之所以被隱藏起來(lái),沒(méi)被發(fā)現(xiàn),是因?yàn)樗鼈儽砻婵雌饋?lái)沒(méi)有什么特別之處,它們需要符號(hào)學(xué)的詳細(xì)分析!侗S游,烏爾蒂瑪》中各種沖突與矛盾以及最終體現(xiàn)的文化和解主題就是隱藏在不同的符號(hào)體系,如果不破解這些符號(hào)體系,就無(wú)法真正的理解魯?shù)婪颉ぐ⒓{亞通過(guò)該作品想表達(dá)的深層含義,即當(dāng)時(shí)奇卡諾人所面臨的主要矛盾沖突及這些矛盾沖突是如何實(shí)現(xiàn)和解的。因此通過(guò)解讀其中的符號(hào),本文一方面旨在揭示奇卡諾人遭遇的三大文化沖突,即農(nóng)耕文化與游牧文化,西班牙文化與印第安文化,奇卡諾文化與美國(guó)主流文化之間的沖突,另一方面旨在探討這些文化沖突如何在符號(hào)中實(shí)現(xiàn)和解的。最后得出結(jié)論:盡管矛盾沖突充斥著奇卡諾人的生活,文化和解是可以實(shí)現(xiàn)的。
[Abstract]:Rudolph Anaya is a famous contemporary Mexican American literary writer. He is one of the few writers who enjoy great popularity both within the Hispanic community and in the mainstream American society. The novel "Bless me, Ultima" is Anaya's first work and its most famous work, which has been recognized as one of the classics of Chikano literature and even American ethnic literature. Because it embodies the common theme of achieving harmony and unity in contradiction and cultural reconciliation, "Bless me, Ultima" has aroused a warm response and been highly appraised not only within Hispanic communities but also in the mainstream society of the United States. The main reason that the theme of cultural reconciliation resonates with the broad audience is that in the 1970s, when Ultima was published, the American society was in a period of unprecedented intensification of contradictions, except for the Chikano Movement. There are also black civil rights movement and Asian civil rights movement and so on. They demanded equal rights with whites in all fields to break the Anglo-Saxon culture. In this process, violent conflict and bloody struggle have become a common phenomenon. Against this background of increasingly serious social antagonism, the theme of reconciliation embodied in Ultima is not only accepted by Mexican-American readers, but also welcomed by the mainstream American society. Therefore, this thesis will focus on the theme of cultural reconciliation to emphasize that reconciliation is the only solution to conflict in a society full of contradictions and opposites. In this paper, the theme of cultural conflict and reconciliation in "Bless me, Ultima" will be discussed from the point of view of symbols, so as to reveal that reconciliation can be achieved under all kinds of contradictions and conflicts. Many of the myths in life are hidden, undiscovered, because they don't seem so special on the surface, they need the detailed analysis of semiotics. < Bless me, The conflicts and contradictions in Ultima and the ultimate theme of cultural reconciliation are hidden in different symbol systems if they are not cracked. It is impossible to really understand the deep meaning that Rudolf Anaya wants to express through this work, that is, the principal conflicts faced by the Chicano people at that time and how to achieve the reconciliation of these contradictions. Therefore, by interpreting the symbols, this paper aims at revealing the conflict between farming culture and nomadic culture, Spanish culture and Indian culture, Chicano culture and the mainstream American culture, on the one hand, the three major cultural conflicts encountered by Chicano people, namely, farming culture and nomadic culture, Spanish culture and Indian culture, Chicano culture and American mainstream culture. On the other hand, it aims to explore how these cultural conflicts can be reconciled in symbols. Finally, it is concluded that cultural reconciliation can be achieved even though conflict is full of the life of Chikanos.
