《血色子午線》中永恒的暴力之舞

【摘要】:作為美國當代頗受爭議的小說家,科馬克·麥卡錫以其小說中大量的暴力描寫而被世人所知。暴力、血腥、末世的救贖成為他小說中令人屏息的主題。他的小說只擁有小眾的讀者,在中國也鮮為人知。他的第五部小說《血色子午線》是一部實驗性的小說,該小說的背景設(shè)在美國西部,打破了傳統(tǒng)的西部小說模式。這部小說引起了學(xué)術(shù)界的關(guān)注,同時也開創(chuàng)了作者的西部系列小說。小說通過一個十四歲少年的視角,真實再現(xiàn)了十九世紀中期發(fā)生在美國—墨西哥邊境的印第安人屠殺事件。大多數(shù)人認為《血色子午線》并無情節(jié),只是充斥著無數(shù)暴力場面。暴力使人性黑暗面暴露無遺。暴力成為在西部生存的唯一方式。作者在小說中表達了暴力的永恒性,這也成為本文分析的一個立足點。本文從美國西部荒野入手,通過對文本的解讀,分析了麥卡錫筆下暴力的西部和暴力的西部人,同時結(jié)合相關(guān)歷史背景,最終揭示了暴力是人性的本質(zhì),從而促使人類反思戰(zhàn)爭的殘酷性。 該論文共分成五個部分。第一部分首先介紹麥卡錫生活經(jīng)歷及其創(chuàng)作特色,介紹了《血色子午線》的主要內(nèi)容,強調(diào)麥卡錫小說中的暴力傳統(tǒng);然后總結(jié)了麥卡錫的國內(nèi)外研究現(xiàn)狀,最后簡述了本文研究意義。 第二部分是分析了西部存在的狀況,描述了幻滅和暴力的西部。該部分闡述了流傳久遠的西部神話及麥卡錫筆下孤獨、恐怖的真實西部,揭示了人類原始的暴力本性。第三部分描繪了在西部背景下暴力的西部人。通過對比小說中的兩個主要人物的暴力表現(xiàn),表達對自由理想西部的訴求以及對暴力哲學(xué)的厭惡。第四部分分析小說中存在的暴力話語。該部分對文中暴力進行了深入研究,并分析了小說投射的歷史背景,把歷史文本和小說敘述相結(jié)合,重現(xiàn)了種族屠殺的歷史,最后以法官霍頓形象的永生揭示了暴力將永恒的主題。 第五部分是論文的結(jié)論,在總結(jié)全文的同時強調(diào)解讀暴力本性的現(xiàn)實意義,只有直面殘酷的暴力,并與其不斷抗爭,人類社會才有希望。
[Abstract]:As a contemporary American controversial novelist, Cormack Macarthy to a large number of the violence depicted in the novel and known by the world. Violent, bloody, eschatological salvation in his novels become a breathtaking theme. His novels have a niche in the Chinese reader, also known. His fifth novel < > Blood Meridian is an experimental novel, the novel is set in the western United States, breaking the traditional pattern of western novels. The novel attracted the attention of the academic circles, but also created the Western series. The novel by a fourteen year old boy's perspective, a true representation of the mid nineteenth Century in the United States - Mexico the border of the Indian massacre. Most people think that "Blood Meridian > and ruthless, just filled with numerous scenes of violence. Violence to the dark side of human nature. The violence in the West become completely unmasked The only way of survival. The author expressed the eternity of violence in the novel, it has also become a foothold in this paper. This paper starts from the United States in the western wilderness, through the interpretation of the text, analysis of violence and violence in the West under the pen of Mccarthy West, combined with the relevant historical background, eventually reveals violence is the essence of human nature, which prompted the cruelty of the human reflection of war.
This thesis is divided into five parts. The first part introduces Mccarthy's life experiences and creative features, introduces the main content of < > Blood Meridian, emphasized the tradition of violence in Mccarthy's novels; then summarizes the research status of Mccarthy at home and abroad, and the significance of this study briefly.
The second part is the analysis of the western state of being described disillusionment and violence in the West. This part of the age-old Western myth and Mccarthy's loneliness, terror True West, reveals the original human nature of violence. The third part depicts the violence in the West under the background of western people. Through violence two comparison of main characters in the novel, the expression of the ideal of freedom in Western demands and distaste for violent philosophy. The fourth part is the analysis of violence in the novel discourse exist. This part carries out in-depth research on the violence, and analyzes the historical background of the novel projection, historical text and narrative combination, to reproduce the race the slaughter of history, finally to judge the image of Horton reveals the violence will be eternal life eternal theme.
The fifth part is the conclusion of the paper. On the basis of summarizing the full text, we also emphasize the practical significance of interpreting the nature of violence. Only by facing the brutal violence and fighting against it, can we hope for human society.
