【摘要】：弗朗西斯·司各特·菲茨杰拉德是美國二十世紀(jì)初著名小說家，被譽(yù)為爵士時(shí)代的代言人。小說《了不起的蓋茨比》是其代表作。從表面上看，小說講述的似乎是一個(gè)成年人的愛情悲劇故事，實(shí)際上它真實(shí)記錄了二十年代期間的美國社會風(fēng)氣：非法私自釀酒；電影明星們的各種臉譜；職業(yè)女性的生活觀和愛情觀；人們對現(xiàn)行道德標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和社會、文化習(xí)俗的各不相同的態(tài)度。由于小說中所包含的深刻思想意義和具有前瞻性的警示作用，，從而進(jìn)一步確立了他在二十世紀(jì)文學(xué)史上的杰出地位。盡管如此，小說塑造了美國爵士時(shí)代眾多新女性的負(fù)面形象，讀者可以明確的感受到菲茨杰拉德對女性的刻畫都是負(fù)面并依附于男性而存在的，對黛西的刻畫更是如此。隨著女性主義文學(xué)批評理論的發(fā)展，有必要從全新的角度重新解讀作品。本文以女性主義為視角，用文本細(xì)讀的方式重新解讀《了不起的蓋茨比》。 論文包括引言，正文的三個(gè)章節(jié)以及結(jié)論部分。 引言部分介紹作者及其作品以及他在美國文學(xué)史的地位和貢獻(xiàn)。另外也介紹了女性主義文學(xué)批評的發(fā)展和相關(guān)理論。第一章節(jié)分析了菲氏對于新女性的矛盾態(tài)度，即一方面他認(rèn)為新女性代表了自由，反抗等新的價(jià)值觀念，另一方面他擔(dān)心他們所代表的不僅僅是自由和反抗還有精神的墮落。作者對于女性角色的負(fù)面刻畫從一定程度上也體現(xiàn)出他的女性價(jià)值觀，以及當(dāng)時(shí)美國社會中男性對女性的態(tài)度。第二章第三章運(yùn)用女性主義文學(xué)批評方法對《了不起的蓋茨比》進(jìn)行文本分析。首先揭示了小說敘述者尼克對于女性角色尤其是黛西的解讀中存在的男權(quán)意識，偏見，厭女情結(jié)及不同的道德評判標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。在對尼克的男權(quán)話語進(jìn)行破解的基礎(chǔ)之上，從女性主義視角再次對黛西進(jìn)行分析和解讀后，可以得出結(jié)論，在男權(quán)社會中，像黛西一樣的女性是當(dāng)時(shí)社會的犧牲品，黛西更是蓋茨比美國夢的受害者，與此同時(shí),黛西身上也表現(xiàn)出萌芽狀態(tài)的女性意識，因此小說對于女性人物的刻畫是有失公平的。
