【摘要】：田納西.威廉斯(1911-1983)是二戰(zhàn)以后美國最著名的戲劇家之一。自他的作品第一次出現(xiàn)在美國戲劇舞臺上以來,始終不乏對于他本人以及他的作品的各種批評研究。直到今天,他個人及作品的魅力仍然吸引眾多學者的關注。 《欲望號街車》(1949)以其引人入勝的情節(jié)、獨特的人物性格以及作者對人物不加主觀判斷等出色之處為威廉斯帶來了巨大榮譽,先后為他贏得普利策獎、唐納森獎和紐約戲劇評論家協(xié)會獎。學者們對該劇進行了深入的研究,但劇中一些符合狂化化理論的成分,如加冕脫冕情節(jié)、怪誕性、不合時宜的言行、極端境界等并沒有得到應有的關注。該論文試圖運用俄國學者米哈伊爾·巴赫金提出的狂歡化理論證明《欲望號街車》具有明顯的狂歡化特色,并嘗試探索其功能。 該論文分為五個部分。 引言部分介紹了劇作家田納西·威廉斯,對《欲望號街車》的研究現(xiàn)狀進行了簡單總結(jié),并指出本文的研究目的和意義。 第一章簡要介紹了巴赫金的狂歡化理論,從加冕-脫冕儀式,狂歡式世界感受和梅尼普體的特點三個方面為該論文做理論準備。 第二章通過對狂歡節(jié)上對狂歡國王加冕-脫冕儀式的分析探討布蘭奇和斯坦利之間的沖突。兩人都想通過給對方脫冕而維持自己的權(quán)威。布蘭奇通過謊言和幻想維持自己的高貴地位,但最終被斯坦利無情揭穿和毀滅以至于被徹底脫冕。斯坦利用暴力和強大的男性氣概得到妻子和朋友的加冕,但布蘭奇的到來剝奪了他的特權(quán),奪走他妻子和朋友的關懷,甚至將其脫冕到非人類的地步。 第三章證明了《欲望號街車》表達了“狂歡式的世界感受”。巴赫金認為在狂歡節(jié)的發(fā)展過程中,人們逐漸形成一種狂歡式的世界感受,它和官方的嚴肅性相對立。本章談到這種感受的三個范疇：自由的狎昵交往,怪誕性和狂歡式不對等婚姻。 第四章主要探討了《欲望號街車》的體裁特點。梅尼普體是狂歡化文學的一種重要體裁,《欲望號街車》呈現(xiàn)了梅尼普體的六個重要特點。 結(jié)論部分對以上章節(jié)內(nèi)容做出概括總結(jié)并由此對《欲望號街車》的狂歡化特點的功能做出解釋,由于狂歡精神在于體現(xiàn)再生、追求自由和平等,作品呈現(xiàn)的狂歡化特點幫助劇作家表達出壓抑的情感和對未來的希望。
[Abstract]:Tennessee Williams (1911-1983) is the United States after World War II, one of the most famous dramatists. Since his works first appeared in American drama, always some for himself and his works on the criticism. Until today, and his personal charm works still attract the attention of many scholars.
< > A Streetcar Named Desire (1949) with its fascinating plot, unique characters and the characters without subjective judgment excellence has brought great honor for Williams, he has won the Pulitzer prize, the Donaldson prize and New York Drama Critics Association Awards. Scholars have conducted in-depth research on the play, but play with some mad theory components, such as decrowning and crowning the plot, grotesque, extreme realm be inopportune or inappropriate words and deeds, have not received due attention. This paper attempts to use the theory of carnivalization Russian scholar Mikhail Bakhtin proposed that "A Streetcar Named Desire > has the obvious characteristics of the carnival, and try to explore its function.
The paper is divided into five parts.
The introduction part introduces the research status of Tennessee playwright Williams, on "A Streetcar Named Desire" is simply summarized, and points out the purpose and significance of this study.
The first chapter briefly introduces the theory of Carnival of Bakhtin, and makes preparations for the thesis from three aspects: the coronation, the coronation ceremony, the carnival world experience and the characteristics of the mernex body.
The second chapter through the analysis of Carnival Carnival on the coronation of King - decrowning ritual on the conflict between Blanche and Stanley. Two people want to give each other by decrowning and maintain his authority. Blanche through the lies and fantasy to maintain their noble status, but eventually Stanley ruthlessly expose and destroy that was completely decrowning Stanley with violence and strong masculinity has been crowned wife and friends, but the arrival of Blanche deprived him of his privileges, he took his wife and friends, even the decrowning to non human proportions.
The third chapter proves that "A Streetcar Named Desire expression >" Carnival sense of the world. "Bakhtin believes in the development process of the carnival, people gradually formed a carnival sense of the world, its seriousness and official opposition. This chapter addresses three categories: this feeling by their interaction the grotesque, and Carnival type unequal marriage.
The fourth chapter mainly discusses the characteristics of the genre "A Streetcar Named Desire." meinipu genre is an important genre of Carnival literature, "A Streetcar Named Desire > presents six important features of meinipu genre.
The conclusion of the above chapters make a summary and so on "A Streetcar Named Desire" Carnival features the function of explanation, the carnival spirit lies in the pursuit of freedom and equality, regeneration, Carnival features works to help express the playwright pent up emotions and hope for the future.
