對外宣傳材料翻譯的現(xiàn)狀、存在問題及解決辦法

【摘要】: 隨著改革開放的深入和中國國際地位的提高,對外宣傳工作在社會生活中扮演著越來越重要的角色,而對外宣傳工作的開展離不開對外宣傳材料的翻譯。自二十世紀(jì)八十年代以來,對外宣傳材料的翻譯空前繁榮,無論是規(guī)模還是影響都達(dá)到了歷史最高水平,但是與這種繁榮不相適應(yīng)的是,無論是在正式出版物還是非正式出版物中,各種語言和非語言錯誤或問題仍然隨處可見。本文運用多系統(tǒng)理論、贊助人理論和功能翻譯理論等探討這一現(xiàn)象并尋求解決存在問題的辦法。筆者認(rèn)為,,對外宣傳材料有其自身的獨特特點,如具有濃厚的文化色彩、政治色彩,講究時效性等。在翻譯過程中,原語社會和目的語社會中的多系統(tǒng),包括語言、文化、政治、經(jīng)濟和意識形態(tài)等都從宏觀或微觀方面發(fā)揮作用。要改變對外宣傳材料漢英翻譯的現(xiàn)狀,首先必須對在翻譯過程中發(fā)揮作用的各個因素進(jìn)行研究,然后在此基礎(chǔ)上從宏觀和微觀兩方面提出解決辦法,翻譯的總體質(zhì)量才能得到有效的提高。
