英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言學(xué)專業(yè)碩士論文結(jié)論部分中的及物性對(duì)比分析

【摘要】:近年來(lái),作為碩士學(xué)位論文質(zhì)量評(píng)估重要因素的論文摘要和結(jié)論部分逐漸成為學(xué)者們競(jìng)相研究的課題。而結(jié)論部分又因其客觀性,科學(xué)性和概括性直接決定著碩士論文的質(zhì)量。國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)者專家們已從多種語(yǔ)言學(xué)角度對(duì)碩士論文結(jié)論部分做過(guò)各種有價(jià)值的研究。在本文中,作者將系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)言學(xué)的理論引入到英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言學(xué)專業(yè)碩士論文結(jié)論的分析評(píng)價(jià)中,并將主要研究點(diǎn)鎖定在及物性系統(tǒng)。及物性系統(tǒng)是研究語(yǔ)篇概念功能強(qiáng)有力的工具,,在此之前,它已經(jīng)被廣泛應(yīng)用到了文學(xué)語(yǔ)篇,科技語(yǔ)篇,以及大眾語(yǔ)篇的分析當(dāng)中。在及物性系統(tǒng)的理論框架下,作者將進(jìn)行針對(duì)英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言學(xué)專業(yè)碩士論文結(jié)論部分的中美對(duì)比研究。 論文所用語(yǔ)料選自著名國(guó)外學(xué)位論文檢索平臺(tái)PQDD及國(guó)內(nèi)學(xué)位論文檢索平臺(tái)CNKI。作者在PQDD中選取英語(yǔ)為母語(yǔ)者所撰寫的十五篇英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言學(xué)專業(yè)研究生論文結(jié)論,另在CNKI中選取十五篇中國(guó)英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言學(xué)專業(yè)研究生所撰寫的學(xué)位論文結(jié)論。為了保證研究的信度,所選語(yǔ)篇均來(lái)自中美較有聲望的大學(xué),且論文發(fā)表日期限定在2009至2011年。作者對(duì)碩士論文結(jié)論部分及物性的研究從宏觀和微觀兩個(gè)方面展開。在宏觀方面著重對(duì)比及物性過(guò)程在中美語(yǔ)言學(xué)碩士論文結(jié)論部分的分布情況,所占比例,過(guò)程,參與者,環(huán)境成分的組織情況。這種分析是通過(guò)UAM Corpus Tool這種方便的統(tǒng)計(jì)工具來(lái)完成的。將文本輸入,分割,標(biāo)注后,此軟件能自動(dòng)統(tǒng)計(jì)出各種過(guò)程或其他成分的相互關(guān)系。正因如此,分析的信度大大提高。微觀角度的研究著眼于不同過(guò)程的特點(diǎn)與及物性隱喻,這對(duì)清楚呈現(xiàn)中美學(xué)者運(yùn)用及物性系統(tǒng)表達(dá)概念功能的異同有重要作用。 文章試圖回答如下問(wèn)題:碩士論文結(jié)論中存在哪些及物性過(guò)程?比例多少?中美碩士論文結(jié)論在及物性方面有什么相同點(diǎn)和不同點(diǎn)?及物性隱喻在結(jié)論中是如何體現(xiàn)的,中美有何差異? 通過(guò)對(duì)所選中語(yǔ)篇及物性分析及數(shù)據(jù)統(tǒng)計(jì),本文得出以下結(jié)論:中美結(jié)論在及物性方面存在共同點(diǎn)和不同點(diǎn)。在結(jié)論中主要出現(xiàn)了關(guān)系過(guò)程、物質(zhì)過(guò)程、心理過(guò)程,其中物質(zhì)過(guò)程所占的比例最高。但母語(yǔ)為英語(yǔ)者的論文結(jié)論中物質(zhì)過(guò)程所占比例要小于中國(guó)研究者的論文,而在關(guān)系過(guò)程中,情況恰恰相反。諸如此類的差別可以歸結(jié)于中外研究者在論文結(jié)論部分的側(cè)重點(diǎn)有所不同:中國(guó)研究者往往更注重總結(jié)歸納自己的研究結(jié)果,而外國(guó)學(xué)者更多致力于描述研究的意義及其對(duì)未來(lái)研究的影響。通過(guò)對(duì)及物性系統(tǒng)其他要素,如參與者,環(huán)境要素的細(xì)致分析,作者逐步歸納出了中外研究生論文結(jié)論部分的及物性特點(diǎn)。及物性隱喻作為所有隱喻中最高級(jí)語(yǔ)言能力的體現(xiàn)在結(jié)論中占一定頻率,但相較于母語(yǔ)英語(yǔ)者,非母語(yǔ)英語(yǔ)者對(duì)及物性隱喻的運(yùn)用較少且形式單一,內(nèi)容不靈活。 綜上所述,本研究豐富了系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)言學(xué)領(lǐng)域下及物性系統(tǒng)的理論,并對(duì)中國(guó)學(xué)生及學(xué)者進(jìn)行論文結(jié)論寫作及英語(yǔ)寫作、閱讀教學(xué)有一定的借鑒作用。
[Abstract]:In recent years, abstracts and conclusions, which are important factors for the quality evaluation of master's degree papers, have gradually become the subject of research by scholars. The conclusion is directly determined by its objectivity, scientificity and generality. Scholars at home and abroad have made a variety of linguistic perspectives on the conclusion of the master's thesis. In this paper, the author introduces the theory of systemic functional linguistics to the analysis and evaluation of the conclusion of the master's thesis in the major of English linguistics, and loclocks the main research points in the transitivity system. The transitivity system is a powerful tool for the study of the conceptual function of the text. Before this, it has been widely used. Under the theoretical framework of transitivity system, the author will carry out a contrastive study on the conclusion of the master's thesis of the English linguistics major in the theoretical framework of the transitivity system.
The papers are selected from the famous foreign degree thesis retrieval platform PQDD and the CNKI. author of the domestic dissertation retrieval platform in the PQDD selection of fifteen English linguistics major postgraduate conclusions written by native speakers of English. In addition, fifteen Chinese English major postgraduates are selected in CNKI. In order to ensure the reliability of the research, the selected texts are all from the more prestigious universities in China and the United States, and the date of publication is limited to 2009 to 2011. The author's research on the transitivity of the conclusion of the thesis is from two aspects of macro and micro aspects. The distribution, the proportion, the process, the participants, the organization of the environmental components. This analysis is done by the convenient statistical tool of UAM Corpus Tool. After the text is entered, divided, and annotated, the software can automatically count the relationships of various processes or other components. The study of view angle is focused on the characteristics of different processes and transitive metaphors, which plays an important role in clearly presenting the similarities and differences between Chinese and American scholars in the use of transitivity system to express conceptual functions.
The article tries to answer the following questions: what transitivity process in the conclusion of the master's thesis? What are the similarities and differences in transitivity? How does transitive metaphor reflect in the conclusion, and what is the difference between China and the United States?
Through the analysis of the transitivity and data statistics of the selected discourse, this paper draws the following conclusions: the conclusion is common and different in transitivity. In the conclusion, the relationship process, the material process and the psychological process are the highest in the conclusion, but the material process is the highest in the conclusion. The proportion is less than the Chinese researchers' papers, but in the relationship process, the situation is the opposite. The differences can be attributed to the differences between Chinese and foreign researchers in the conclusion part of the paper: Chinese researchers tend to pay more attention to summarizing their research results, and foreign scholars are more devoted to describing the significance of the research. Through the careful analysis of other elements of transitivity system, such as participants and environmental factors, the author gradually concludes the transitivity of the conclusion part of the Chinese and foreign postgraduate thesis. Transitive metaphor, as the most advanced language in all metaphors, accounts for a certain frequency, but is compared to the mother tongue. English speakers and non native English speakers use less transitive metaphors and are not flexible in form.
To sum up, this study enriches the theory of transitivity system in the field of systemic functional linguistics, and has a certain reference to Chinese students and scholars in the conclusion of thesis writing and English writing.
