本篇報告基于譯者在平行文本指導下對《三星堆文明》（節(jié)選）的英譯過程所寫。原文材料選自段渝、鄒一清教授的《三星堆文明》前四章,內容包括古蜀王國的形成和發(fā)展、三星堆遺址的發(fā)掘,以及對神權政體的介紹。譯者選取Robert Bagley教授所著Ancient Sichuan—Treasures from a Lost Civilization作為平行文本原因有二:一則,該書涉及三星堆文明的介紹,在內容上與翻譯材料極其相近;二則,作者本身來自英語國家,英文寫作和運用更精確和熟練。平行文本是與原文內容有關的任何參考資料。譯者在翻譯過程中可以通過閱讀平行文本獲取專業(yè)知識、借鑒表達方式以及模仿寫作風格。在本篇報告中,譯者通過實際案例從詞匯表達、句式結構以及語篇連貫三個層面比較分析平行文本和自己的譯文,旨在探討平行文本對此次翻譯實踐的指導作用。通過此次翻譯實踐,譯者不僅對三星堆青銅器產生了濃厚的興趣,而且加深了對三星堆文明的認識。同時,譯者也進一步了解了平行文本對翻譯實踐中的指導意義,為以后更好地運用平行文本提供一定的經驗和借鑒。
