《紐約客》短篇小說選文英漢翻譯實踐報告

本次翻譯實踐報告的源文本選自《紐約客》三篇短篇小說。源文本共計20668個英文單詞,內(nèi)容涉及美國的種族歧視、家庭生活和社會生活的各個方面,目前尚未被譯成中文。本次翻譯實踐旨在幫助中國讀者更好地了解美國社會,促進(jìn)中美文化交流,并為文學(xué)翻譯的研究提供一定的參考價值。本次翻譯實踐以紐馬克的語義翻譯和交際翻譯理論為指導(dǎo)。該報告從詞匯和句法兩個層面分別探討了源文本的翻譯難點及解決法案。詞匯層面,以語義翻譯為指導(dǎo),通過查閱字典以再現(xiàn)一詞多義的語境意義;以交際翻譯為指導(dǎo),通過運用轉(zhuǎn)換詞性、增詞、引申、意譯等翻譯技巧使譯文更加地道流暢。句法層面,在語義翻譯的指導(dǎo)下,通過運用直譯以使譯文忠實于原文;在交際翻譯的指導(dǎo)下,通過拆分、重組句子結(jié)構(gòu)以達(dá)到譯文的流暢。通過本次翻譯實踐,譯者發(fā)現(xiàn)語義翻譯和交際翻譯可以有效地指導(dǎo)短篇小說的翻譯,幫助譯者準(zhǔn)確地再現(xiàn)原文的語境意義和效果。
