語言是隨著人類社會的發(fā)展而發(fā)展的,一些舊詞的過時意味著一些新詞的產生,而新詞的產生還遵循一定的規(guī)律—構詞法,因此構詞法在一定程度上推動著英語歷史的發(fā)展,并起著重要的作用,這也是本翻譯實踐報告的意義所在。本報告基于《劍橋英語史》第三卷第五章第五節(jié)的翻譯實踐。《劍橋英語史》共有六卷,筆者選取的第三卷主要介紹了早期現(xiàn)代英語（約1450年1700年）和現(xiàn)代英語（約1700年至1900年）的發(fā)展歷史,其時間覆蓋了從1476年至美國發(fā)表獨立宣言的1776年,其中筆者所翻譯的第五章第五節(jié)內容屬于英語史中的詞匯部分,主要針對詞匯的構詞法。本次翻譯任務屬于學術性文章,語言嚴謹,具有很強的專業(yè)性,原文中包含很多詞匯學上的語言學術語和專有詞匯。為了用通順、流暢的語言準確傳達原文信息,使譯文讀者對早期現(xiàn)代英語詞匯的構詞法有全面、準確的了解,筆者在翻譯前閱讀了大量詞匯學和英語史方面的書,掌握了大量構詞法方面的知識,然后以彼得·紐馬克的語義翻譯與交際翻譯理論為指導,再結合一些英漢翻譯方法包括省譯、照應等,開展此次翻譯實踐。筆者在翻譯中適當補充了一些相關學術性知識以幫助讀者更好的理解,希望本實踐報告,既可供相關領域...
