基于語料庫的英漢動物隱喻對比研究以貓、狗類表達(dá)為例

近年來動物隱喻研究如火如荼,取得了豐碩成果,但也存在一些問題,如多集中于“人是動物”隱喻研究,對隱喻來源的探索不夠等。本論文在“宇宙巨鏈”隱喻理論和Hsieh于2006年提出的動物隱喻模型(修正版)的觀照下,從隱喻來源、隱喻表達(dá)和從源域到目的域的映射三方面對英漢語中的動物隱喻進(jìn)行較為系統(tǒng)全面的對比研究。論文搜集英漢語不同類型詞典中的動物隱喻180例(貓、狗類表達(dá)),自建一小型語料庫,考察了其來源、語義因子和目的域等的分布。其中,借鑒Mitra和Maria在2015年使用的分類標(biāo)準(zhǔn),修正Hsieh的模型,區(qū)分了動物隱喻的四種來源,即:可見的動物特征、文化依賴因素、語言特有因素以及無源可考因素。本文細(xì)致考察了動物隱喻的不同投射方式,在“宇宙巨鏈”隱喻理論下做出統(tǒng)一解釋,發(fā)現(xiàn):(1)映射元素與目標(biāo)對象有關(guān)。在此鏈中低于“動物”者通過外貌特征加以聯(lián)系;反之,若目標(biāo)處于鏈的較高位置,英漢語在來源的分布方面基本一致,均表現(xiàn)為可見動物特征最多,其次是文化依賴和語言特色因素。重點(diǎn)在于,文化依賴來源與動物的行為特征緊密相關(guān)。這些語言方面的共性表明動物隱喻植根于人類的相似體驗(yàn)。(2)動物隱喻的感情色彩同樣...
