《家庭暴力與刑事司法》(第十章)翻譯實踐報告

本翻譯報告所選原文為刑事司法經(jīng)驗豐富的美國學(xué)者李·羅斯(Lee.E.Ross)的《家庭暴力與刑事司法》(Domestic Violence and Criminal Justice)一書中第三部分第十章“預(yù)防勝于治療”(Prevention is Better than Cure)。原文從公共健康視角講述了如何回應(yīng)、對待、預(yù)防家庭暴力,描述了應(yīng)對家庭暴力每一階段的方法?偟膩碚f,預(yù)防包括一系列旨在減少健康威脅的干預(yù)活動。此外,作者還對導(dǎo)致家庭暴力的社會因素和社會條件重新做出了全面評價,也對教育作為應(yīng)對家庭暴力的有效方法提供了個人見解。由于家庭暴力已蔓延至世界各個角落,成為一個全球現(xiàn)象,因此該文本具有一定的教育意義。彼得·紐馬克認為,信息功能型文本翻譯的重點在譯語,即譯語是否如實并流暢地傳遞原文的信息,而翻譯方法則是在譯語中取得與原語相對等的效果。因此,本報告采用紐馬克的交際翻譯理論為指導(dǎo),并分析翻譯實踐中所遇到的難點。在專有名詞的翻譯上采取音譯、直譯以及音譯與直譯相結(jié)合的方法。在長難句的翻譯上,采用逆序、分譯和增譯的翻譯技巧。最后,報告總結(jié)了翻譯實踐中收獲的經(jīng)驗和不足之處。
