MOOCs建設(shè)的實(shí)踐與未來——訪香港大學(xué)MOOCs執(zhí)行主席郭予光教授

【摘要】:MOOCs的實(shí)踐和研究正風(fēng)靡全球,日益成為課堂改革的流行語。如何制作高質(zhì)量的MOOCs,如何促進(jìn)MOOCs的創(chuàng)新共享,實(shí)現(xiàn)其可持續(xù)發(fā)展,已成為眾多高等教育機(jī)構(gòu)和研究者關(guān)注的焦點(diǎn)。本期我們邀請到香港大學(xué)(簡稱港大)MOOCs執(zhí)行主席與總負(fù)責(zé)、校長助理、電氣電子工程學(xué)系副主任郭予光(Ricky Yu-Kwong KWOK)教授,他負(fù)責(zé)香港大學(xué)MOOCs課程開發(fā)、技術(shù)處理、交付管理、資金調(diào)度與宣傳發(fā)布,并代表香港大學(xué)在edX全球會議上匯報(bào)交流。他的研究和教學(xué)興趣主要是大規(guī)模分布式計(jì)算機(jī)系統(tǒng)、無線電系統(tǒng)與網(wǎng)絡(luò)安全,目前他擔(dān)任國際期刊《并行與分布式計(jì)算》(Parallel and Distributed Computing)主編,《電氣與電子工程師協(xié)會并行與分布式系統(tǒng)匯刊》(IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems)副主編及《傳感器網(wǎng)絡(luò)》(Sensor Networks)編委,發(fā)表論文170多篇,出版20多本專著。借助在香港大學(xué)研修的機(jī)會,筆者與郭予光教授就MOOCs制作流程、運(yùn)作機(jī)制、存在問題、創(chuàng)新共享及可持續(xù)發(fā)展等進(jìn)行了深入的交流和探討。選取港大MOOCs為研究對象的原因是:一、港大在國際高等教育研究機(jī)構(gòu)首次QS公布的亞洲大學(xué)排行榜中名列第一,學(xué)術(shù)水平較高。二、港大的國際接軌教育模式沿襲了英國教育體系,其特有的教學(xué)理念和教學(xué)模式為學(xué)習(xí)者提供了極佳的學(xué)習(xí)環(huán)境。港大的全部課程都以英文授課,并在Moodle平臺上提供課程討論、作業(yè)等輔助教學(xué)手段,線上和線下教學(xué)有效融合。三、港大獨(dú)特的地理位置和文化有優(yōu)勢。香港是自由港口,是一座國際化大都市,又有著幾千年中國傳統(tǒng)文化的熏陶,具有相當(dāng)強(qiáng)的本土化特色。因此,港大有背靠東學(xué)、面向西學(xué)的絕佳優(yōu)勢,該校MOOCs建設(shè)實(shí)踐可以為國內(nèi)外開放課程的建設(shè)及可持續(xù)發(fā)展提供借鑒。
[Abstract]:The practice and research of MOOCs are becoming the buzzwords of classroom reform all over the world. How to make high quality MOOCs, and how to promote the innovation and share of MOOCs and realize its sustainable development have become the focus of attention of many higher education institutions and researchers. In this issue, we invite Professor Ricky Yu-Kwong KWOK, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) MOOCs, Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Director of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, who is responsible for MOOCs curriculum development, technical processing, and delivery of management at the University of Hong Kong. Fund allocation and publicity release, and reporting on behalf of the University of Hong Kong at the edX Global Conference. His main research and teaching interests are large-scale distributed computer systems, radio systems and network security, At present, he is the chief editor of the international journal "parallel and distributed Computing" (Parallel and Distributed Computing), the "Association of Electrical and Electronic Engineers parallel and distributed Systems" (IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems) Deputy Editor and the "Sensor Network" (Sensor Networks) editorial Committee. He has published more than 170 papers. More than 20 monographs have been published. Taking advantage of the opportunity to study at the University of Hong Kong, the author and Professor Kwok Yu-guang have conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the MOOCs production process, operational mechanism, existing problems, innovation sharing and sustainable development. The reasons for choosing HKU MOOCs as the research object are as follows: first, HKU ranks first in the list of Asian universities published by QS for the first time, and its academic level is relatively high. Secondly, the international education mode of HKU follows the British educational system, and its unique teaching concept and teaching mode provide excellent learning environment for learners. All HKU courses are taught in English and are effectively integrated into online and offline teaching on the Moodle platform by means of course discussion, homework and other auxiliary teaching methods. Third, HKU's unique geographical location and cultural advantages. Hong Kong is a free port, an international metropolis, with thousands of years of Chinese traditional culture edification, with a strong localization characteristics. Therefore, the MOOCs construction practice of the university can provide reference for the construction and sustainable development of open courses at home and abroad.
