【摘要】：晚清時期西學(xué)東漸,丁韙良作為美國傳教士開創(chuàng)了在中國講授西方法學(xué)之先河,他先是翻譯了惠頓的《萬國公法》及一系列西方法學(xué)著述,為晚清政府運用國際法規(guī)則提供借鑒和依據(jù)。隨后,在其擔(dān)任京師同文館和京師大學(xué)堂負責(zé)人期間,他廣設(shè)杏壇講授國際法學(xué)、引進西方教育理念、整頓教務(wù),為中國培養(yǎng)了第一批具有較高中西文化素養(yǎng)的外交人才。本文對其所做工作予以正面評價,認為其在推進中國社會文明近代化的進程中發(fā)揮了積極有效的作用。
[Abstract]:In the late Qing Dynasty, Western learning spread to the east. As an American missionary, Ding started the teaching of western law in China. He first translated Wheaton's "Public Law of all Nations" and a series of western legal writings. For the late Qing government to use the rules of international law to provide reference and basis. Then, while he was in charge of the capital teacher and the literary hall and the university, he extensively set up Xingtan to teach international law, introduced the western educational concept, rectified the educational administration, and cultivated the first batch of diplomatic talents with higher Chinese and western cultural literacy for China. This paper gives a positive evaluation of his work and thinks that it has played an active and effective role in the process of promoting the modernization of Chinese social civilization.
