本文試圖分析當(dāng)前美國高等教育的發(fā)展?fàn)顩r和改革趨勢,以及它給中國的高等教育改革帶來的一些啟示。 文章共分為六個(gè)章節(jié): 第一章主要介紹自1636年美國建立第一所學(xué)院以來,在美國高等教育發(fā)展史上四個(gè)主要的發(fā)展階段,包括:學(xué)院創(chuàng)建階段;實(shí)驗(yàn)與多樣化階段;現(xiàn)代大學(xué)的興起以及高等教育的擴(kuò)大。 第二章主要闡述美國高等教育的五個(gè)基本特點(diǎn)。從這些特點(diǎn)中,可以發(fā)現(xiàn)美國高等教育之所以世界一流它的優(yōu)勢所在。 第三章主要討論當(dāng)前美國高等教育發(fā)展所面臨的一些難題。財(cái)政困難、本科教育質(zhì)量下滑以及如何滿足社會上對高等教育巨大需求等問題是本章節(jié)討論的重點(diǎn)。 第四章則側(cè)重分析對美國高等教育發(fā)展有重大影響的四個(gè)因素,包括政治、科技、經(jīng)濟(jì)和社會等方面的因素。 第五章詳細(xì)闡述本文的重點(diǎn)內(nèi)容,即當(dāng)前美國高等教育改革中的重要變化。它主要包括五個(gè)方面的變化:重視本科教育;大力發(fā)展遠(yuǎn)程教育;降低成本,提高辦學(xué)效益;加速科技成果轉(zhuǎn)化以及高等教育的國際化。 第六章提出本文的觀點(diǎn),即美國的...
