【摘要】：詹姆斯·J.杜德斯達(dá)（James J. Duderstadt），1942年出生于美國(guó)愛荷華州，美國(guó)密歇根大學(xué)榮休校長(zhǎng)，美國(guó)高等教育思想家，核工程研究國(guó)際專家，曾任美國(guó)國(guó)家科學(xué)委員會(huì)主席，并多次參與美國(guó)教育政策制定工作。密歇根大學(xué)是美國(guó)典型的公立研究型大學(xué)，1988年至1996年間，杜德斯達(dá)作為第十一任校長(zhǎng)帶領(lǐng)密歇根大學(xué)開啟了世紀(jì)交替之際的變革，在教學(xué)信息化、資金多樣化、管理高效化和文化多樣性等方面取得引人注目的成就。 本文選取美國(guó)公立大學(xué)改革這一角度，深入研究杜德斯達(dá)豐富的高等教育思想，并嚴(yán)密結(jié)合其在密歇根大學(xué)的教育改革實(shí)踐。杜德斯達(dá)認(rèn)為，美國(guó)公立大學(xué)要認(rèn)清自身的歷史使命和發(fā)展獨(dú)特性，在本科生教育、研究生教育、財(cái)政管理和校園文化等多方面進(jìn)行改革。與此同時(shí)，對(duì)于世界范圍內(nèi)的公立大學(xué)改革，，杜德斯達(dá)的公立大學(xué)改革思想具有一定的局限性，但對(duì)其在改革方向、改革戰(zhàn)略和改革領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者等方面有著很大的啟示。
[Abstract]:James J. James J. Duderstadtman was born in 1942 in Iowa. He was president emeritus of the University of Michigan, thinker of American higher education, international expert on nuclear engineering, and former chairman of the National Council of Science. And many times participate in the United States educational policy making work. The University of Michigan is a typical public research university in the United States. From 1988 to 1996, Dudsda, as the eleventh president, led the transformation of the University of Michigan at the turn of the century. Remarkable achievements have been made in the management of high efficiency and cultural diversity. From the perspective of public university reform in the United States, this paper makes a thorough study of Dudsda's rich thoughts on higher education, and closely combines his practice of educational reform at the University of Michigan. Dudstadt believes that public universities in the United States should recognize their historical mission and develop uniqueness and reform in undergraduate education, graduate education, financial management and campus culture. At the same time, for the reform of public universities in the world, Dudsda's idea of public university reform has some limitations, but it has great enlightenment on the reform direction, reform strategy and reform leaders.
