【摘要】：中國近代私立大學(xué)在近現(xiàn)代高等教育發(fā)展史上,占有十分重要的地位。近代中國涌現(xiàn)了一批辦學(xué)成功的私立大學(xué),如福建私立廈門大學(xué)、武昌私立中華大學(xué)。這些大學(xué)在時局動蕩、戰(zhàn)亂頻繁、社會經(jīng)濟發(fā)展水平落后的環(huán)境下,為國家和民族培養(yǎng)了諸多具有跨時代意義的人才,取得了令人矚目的發(fā)展,這與私立大學(xué)成功的管理制度密不可分。自美國引進的董事會制度,對中國近代私立大學(xué)的發(fā)展起到了不可替代的重要作用。研究中國近代私立大學(xué)董事會制度的運行對當(dāng)今民辦高校董事會制度建設(shè)與改革具有十分重要的現(xiàn)實意義。 本文主要采用文獻法,個案研究法,歷史法三種研究方法。通過對私立廈門大學(xué)、私立中華大學(xué)等校史資料、歷史專著等深入挖掘,論文力圖對私立大學(xué)董事會制度的發(fā)展脈絡(luò)做一個清晰的概括。在對私立大學(xué)董事會制度進行歷史考察的基礎(chǔ)上,歸納私立大學(xué)董事會產(chǎn)生的原因,探究董事會制度在私立大學(xué)內(nèi)部的運行,并且結(jié)合時代背景、學(xué)校發(fā)展的具體情況分析董事會制度被取消的原因。論文共分為四個部分,以發(fā)展的角度對19世紀末至20上半葉的近代私立大學(xué)董事會制度進行深入研究與探討。 第一部分為緒論,分析了選題的背景和意義,對專著中、史料中、期刊文獻中有關(guān)近代私立大學(xué)董事會的研究進行概述,并對論文的核心概念和采用的研究方法做出闡述。 第二部分探究中國近代大學(xué)在學(xué)習(xí)借鑒西方的基礎(chǔ)上建立的董事會制度,研究私立大學(xué)董事會制度的發(fā)展歷程,通過相關(guān)法律法規(guī)說明董事會的制度建設(shè)逐步發(fā)展完善。20世紀末到1912年中國出現(xiàn)了董事會制度的萌芽,1912年到1927年近代私立大學(xué)董事會制度得到進一步發(fā)展,私立復(fù)旦大學(xué)、廈門大學(xué)都建立了自己的董事會。1927年到1937年私立大學(xué)董事會制度進一步發(fā)展完善,政府規(guī)定國民開辦私立大學(xué)必須設(shè)立董事會,各種法律法規(guī)的頒布使得董事會制度建設(shè)、人員組成、職能規(guī)定更加明確而完善。在對董事會制度進行歷史梳理的基礎(chǔ)上,概括董事會組織特征,分析董事會制度在近代私立大學(xué)中產(chǎn)生的歷史條件。 第三部分是個案研究,本文選取私立廈門大學(xué)和私立中華大學(xué)兩所大學(xué)為個案進行研究,分析研究兩所私立大學(xué)的董事會制度建立發(fā)展成熟并最終消亡的整個過程,通過會議記錄、職權(quán)的行使來研究董事會制度在私立大學(xué)中的具體運行操作,探究董事會在學(xué)校發(fā)展的不同階段促進大學(xué)發(fā)展的過程。通過個案研究剖析私立大學(xué)轉(zhuǎn)為公立大學(xué)后董事會制度被取消的原因,對私立廈門大學(xué)的研究可以發(fā)現(xiàn)董事會籌集經(jīng)費的重要性,對私立武昌大學(xué)的研究可以看出政府對私立大學(xué)的控制,為了私立大學(xué)的長遠發(fā)展,董事會必須保持自己的相對獨立性,爭取辦學(xué)自主權(quán)。 第四部分在近代私立大學(xué)董事會制度對私立廈門、私立武昌大學(xué)的個案研究基礎(chǔ)上進行總結(jié),歸納私立大學(xué)董事會制度的優(yōu)點和對當(dāng)今民辦高校董事會制度建設(shè)與改革的啟示。加強民辦高校與政府的聯(lián)系的同時,竭力保持自身的獨立性；設(shè)置正確的辦學(xué)宗旨,秉承教育公益原則；劃分明確的職責(zé)權(quán)限,行政部門各司其職；推舉多樣化的董事會成員；完善法律法規(guī),建立校長、董事長互相監(jiān)督機制。
[Abstract]:Chinese modern private university in the history of the development of modern higher education, plays an important role in modern China. The emergence of a number of successful private schools such as Fujian private university, Xiamen University, China University of Wuchang private university in turmoil. Of these, frequent wars, economic and social development level of the backward environment, with many cross culture the significance of talents for the country and the nation, and achieved remarkable development, which was closely related with the success of the management system of private university. Imported from the United States and the system of board of directors, the irreplaceable important role in the development of private universities in modern Chinese. The research Chinese modern private university board system has practical significance very important system construction and reform of the private university board.
This paper mainly adopts the literature method, case study method, the historical method of three kinds of research methods. Through the private Xiamen University, Chinese private university history data, Historical Monographs such as digging, the development of the private universities this thesis tries to the system of board of directors made a clear summary. The base of the historical investigation on the private university board of directors the system, summarized the reasons of private university board of inquiry, the board of directors system in private universities internal, and combining with the background of the development of the specific circumstances of the school board system was canceled from the original. The thesis is divided into four parts, the in-depth study and Discussion on the development perspective of the late nineteenth Century to the the 20 half of the modern private university board system.
The first part is the introduction. It analyzes the background and significance of the topic selection, summarizes the research on the board of directors in the modern private universities, and expounds the core concepts and the research methods.
The second part explores China in modern university to learn from the West on the basis of the establishment of the system of board of directors, the development of private university board system, the relevant laws and regulations system construction of the board of directors gradually developed.20 century to 1912 China emergence of the system of board of directors, from 1912 to 1927 the board of directors of modern private university the system of further development, the private Fudan University, Xiamen University has established its own board of directors.1927 to 1937 private university board system to further improve the development of national government regulations, establishing private universities must set up the board of directors, enacted various laws and regulations that the board of directors system construction, personnel composition, functions more clearly defined and perfect foundation of history. In the combing of the system of board of directors, the board of directors general organizational characteristics, analysis of the board of directors system in modern times The historical conditions in private universities.
The third part is the case study, this paper selects two private universities and private Zhonghua College Xiamen University as a case study, analysis of the two private university board system establishment process developed and eventually die, the record of the meeting, the specific operation of the board of directors to exercise the authority system in private universities in the process. Explore the different stages of the development of the school board to promote university development. Through the analysis of case study of private universities to public university board system was cancelled, to study the private Xiamen University can find the importance of the board of directors of research funding, private university in Wuchang, you can see that the government control of the private universities, in the long run the development of private universities, the board must maintain its relative independence, strive for autonomy in running schools.
The fourth part system of private Xiamen in the modern private university board, based on the case Wuchang university research summed up the advantages of private university board system in today's private university board system construction and reform. Strengthen the private universities and government relations at the same time, to maintain their independence; set the correct mission, uphold the public education authority principle; clear division of responsibilities, administrative departments perform their duties; diversification of elected members of the board of directors; perfecting laws and regulations, the establishment of the principal, chairman of mutual supervision mechanism.
