初中英語詞匯隱性和顯性相結(jié)合教學(xué)方法的研究

【摘要】:在英語教學(xué)過程中,英語詞匯占據(jù)著重要的地位。只有把詞匯掌握了,才能更加有效地促進(jìn)聽、說、讀、寫四方面的發(fā)展。對(duì)于如何教詞匯,不同的學(xué)者持不同的觀點(diǎn),其中有兩種代表性的方法:一種是詞匯的顯性教學(xué)方法,另一種是詞匯的隱性教學(xué)方法。Sokmen(2002)認(rèn)為單獨(dú)的詞匯應(yīng)該受到注意和重視,教師應(yīng)該對(duì)詞匯本身進(jìn)行講解和操練,并支持顯性詞匯教學(xué)。Nagy(2002)支持隱性詞匯教學(xué),認(rèn)為詞匯教學(xué)應(yīng)該依靠語境,倡導(dǎo)教師應(yīng)該引導(dǎo)學(xué)生廣泛閱讀,并在了解文章大意的前提下猜測(cè)詞匯?v然兩種方法都有優(yōu)點(diǎn),但是各自也存在缺點(diǎn)。Nation(2003)提出將兩種方法結(jié)合起來的新的教學(xué)方法。關(guān)于顯性和隱性相結(jié)合的教學(xué)方法是否對(duì)詞匯學(xué)習(xí)有效的研究很多,但它們的研究對(duì)象主要是大學(xué)生。詞匯在初中生英語學(xué)習(xí)中起著很重要的作用,所以做這項(xiàng)研究勢(shì)在必行;诮涌谡f理論,本文通過對(duì)初二年級(jí)兩個(gè)班為期三個(gè)月的實(shí)驗(yàn)研究,旨在對(duì)兩個(gè)研究問題進(jìn)行探討:(1)顯性的詞匯教學(xué)方法對(duì)初中生詞匯學(xué)習(xí)有什么影響?(2)顯性和隱性相結(jié)合的詞匯教學(xué)方法對(duì)初中生詞匯學(xué)習(xí)有什么影響?本研究的研究對(duì)象是初中兩個(gè)班的學(xué)生,每班40人。一班是控制班,通過顯性教學(xué)方法教詞匯,即教師直接對(duì)詞匯進(jìn)行講解。二班是實(shí)驗(yàn)班,通過顯性和隱性相結(jié)合的教學(xué)方法教詞匯。在實(shí)驗(yàn)班中,教師不僅給學(xué)生提供語境,讓學(xué)生在了解文章大意的前提下猜詞,而且直接講解詞匯。在為期三個(gè)月的實(shí)驗(yàn)后,教師分別在控制班和實(shí)驗(yàn)班做了后測(cè)測(cè)試,并對(duì)實(shí)驗(yàn)班的六個(gè)學(xué)生進(jìn)行了訪談。通過對(duì)數(shù)據(jù)的整理和分析,本研究得出以下結(jié)論:(1)顯性詞匯教學(xué)法的使用能夠幫助初中生有效記憶詞匯。(2)顯性和隱性詞匯教學(xué)法的使用,不僅能幫助初中生記憶詞匯,更重要的是可以幫助初中生正確使用詞匯。綜上所述,顯性和隱性相結(jié)合的詞匯教學(xué)方法對(duì)初中生英語詞匯學(xué)習(xí)非常有效,因此,教師在講授詞匯時(shí),應(yīng)該充分利用這一方法。
[Abstract]:In the process of English teaching, English vocabulary plays an important role. Only by mastering vocabulary can we promote the development of listening, speaking, reading and writing more effectively. Different scholars hold different views on how to teach vocabulary. There are two representative methods: one is the explicit teaching method of vocabulary, the other is the implicit teaching method of vocabulary. And supports explicit vocabulary teaching. Nagyn 2002) supports implicit vocabulary teaching, holds that vocabulary teaching should rely on context, advocates that teachers should guide students to read widely, and guess vocabulary on the premise of understanding the main idea of the article. Even the two methods have advantages. However, each has its own shortcomings. (Nations2003)) A new teaching method combining the two methods is proposed. There are many studies on whether the combination of explicit and implicit teaching methods is effective for vocabulary learning. But their research objects are mainly college students. Vocabulary plays an important role in junior high school students' English learning, so it is imperative to do this research. Based on a three-month experimental study of two classes in grade two of junior high school, this paper aims to explore the effects of the dominant vocabulary teaching methods on vocabulary learning of junior high school students. 2) how does the combination of explicit and implicit vocabulary teaching methods affect the vocabulary learning of junior high school students? The subjects of this study are 40 students in two classes of junior middle school. Class one is a controlled class, teaching vocabulary by explicit teaching method, that is, teachers explain vocabulary directly. Class two is an experimental class. In the experimental class, the teacher not only provides the context for students to guess words under the premise of understanding the general idea of the article, but also directly explains the vocabulary. After three months of experiment, The teachers conducted post-test tests in the control class and the experimental class, and interviewed six students in the experimental class. In this study, the following conclusions are drawn: the use of dominant vocabulary teaching method can help junior high school students to memorize effective vocabulary and implicit vocabulary teaching, not only to help junior high school students to remember vocabulary. More importantly, it can help junior high school students to use vocabulary correctly. In conclusion, the combination of explicit and implicit vocabulary teaching method is very effective for junior high school students. Therefore, teachers should make full use of this method when teaching vocabulary.
