　　澳大利亞女作家考琳·麥卡洛的代表作《荊棘鳥》和美國女作家瑪格麗特·米切爾的代表作《飄》被公認(rèn)為愛情小說的經(jīng)典之作。兩部作品雖然寫于不同時代和不同地域,但是有著不少相似之處,例如細(xì)致入微的女性語言和個性鮮明的人物形象等,尤其是兩者流露出的女性意識。我國目前評論兩者相似性的研究成果較少,特別在這兩部作品女性意識相似性研究方面比較單薄。 本文以女性意識研究為基礎(chǔ),首先闡述了女性意識的概念和歷史起源,指出女性意識是女性在客觀世界中對自身地位、作用和價值的自覺意識；接著分析了兩部作品中女主人公們的女性意識并總結(jié)出她們的共同點(diǎn)：即她們都是其所在時代反抗男權(quán)壓制、追求真愛、實(shí)現(xiàn)自我價值和具有反抗精神的女性縮影；她們女性意識的發(fā)展都經(jīng)歷了一個從迷失到探求,再到逐漸覺醒的過程。 本文通過對兩部小說中女性意識相似性的分析和總結(jié),有助于加深讀者對兩部作品女性意識的認(rèn)識,填補(bǔ)了在這兩部小說女性意識相似性研究方面的空白。
