　　偵探小說是一種重要的文學類型。數(shù)以千計的西方偵探小說已經(jīng)被翻譯成中文,受到中國讀者熱烈歡迎。然而,針對偵探小說及偵探小說翻譯的研究卻相對較少；有必要對偵探小說的翻譯進行繼續(xù)和更深入的研究。 人物對話在偵探小說中占有很大篇幅,起著舉足輕重的作用。而且由于偵探小說這種特殊文學類型的需要,人物對話常常是言簡義豐、意在言外。本文應用格萊斯的會話含義理論分析偵探小說對話中的會話含義,考察了它們在英漢翻譯中是否得到了有效再現(xiàn),對其中有待商榷的譯文探討更妥當?shù)淖g法。本文試圖提出針對偵探小說中會話含義再現(xiàn)的翻譯原則及具體翻譯策略,旨在提高西方偵探小說英譯漢的翻譯質(zhì)量。 小說中的會話含義分成兩級：人物間會話含義及作者傳遞給讀者的會話含義。兩種會話含義都是通過人物對話實現(xiàn)的,都應該在英漢翻譯中得到再現(xiàn)。 本文提出了偵探小說會話含義再現(xiàn)的原則：對情節(jié)發(fā)展和讀者推理至關重要的會話含義應該確保清楚無誤地被讀者理解,對情節(jié)發(fā)展和讀者推理起次要作用的會話含義可以繼續(xù)保持隱含。本文論證了語境在會話含義再現(xiàn)中的重要作用,并由此提出會話含義再現(xiàn)可以分為兩個步驟：首先借助源語語境獲得會話含義；然后根據(jù)譯語語境再現(xiàn)會話含義。...
