　　本文以韓禮德的功能語(yǔ)法學(xué)為理論基礎(chǔ),從人際意義的角度出發(fā),通過(guò)對(duì)《欲望號(hào)街車》中主要人物對(duì)話的分析來(lái)塑造戲劇中的人物性格和體現(xiàn)人物關(guān)系。本文主要運(yùn)用反應(yīng)人際意義的情態(tài)、語(yǔ)氣和評(píng)價(jià)系統(tǒng)的三個(gè)方面來(lái)分析戲劇。在語(yǔ)氣系統(tǒng)中,各種句子類型體現(xiàn)了男女主人公對(duì)話中的互動(dòng)和人物關(guān)系。在情態(tài)系統(tǒng)中,情態(tài)助動(dòng)詞和評(píng)價(jià)情態(tài)詞能夠反應(yīng)女主人公的性格特點(diǎn)。然而在評(píng)價(jià)系統(tǒng),情感、判斷和鑒別則可以體現(xiàn)男主人公的態(tài)度和性格特點(diǎn)。 通過(guò)理論分析,我們從節(jié)選的對(duì)話中可以得出男女主人公布蘭奇和斯坦利的性格特點(diǎn)以及他們之間的關(guān)系。布蘭奇是一個(gè)過(guò)分看重自己外表,以自我為中心,極度虛偽的女人,而斯坦利沒(méi)有受過(guò)良好的教育,性格粗暴,對(duì)布蘭奇的一切都不滿意。由于他們的生活背景和觀念的不同,在整部戲劇中他們的關(guān)系一直處于對(duì)立狀態(tài)。 通過(guò)對(duì)戲劇進(jìn)行人際意義的分析,使我們對(duì)戲劇中人物性格的分析又提供了一個(gè)新的角度,并對(duì)今后的話語(yǔ)研究起著重要作用。
