威廉·福克納是美國(guó)二十世紀(jì)的文壇巨匠,其代表作《喧嘩與騷動(dòng)》運(yùn)用多種現(xiàn)代主義文學(xué)創(chuàng)作手法及實(shí)驗(yàn)性藝術(shù)技巧,在文學(xué)界意義重大影響深遠(yuǎn)。評(píng)論界較為集中地針對(duì)小說(shuō)的主題思想、人物形象以及多種實(shí)驗(yàn)性方法等方面有深入廣泛的研究,然而從敘事策略角度出發(fā)研究作品中凱蒂的形象塑造還較為鮮見(jiàn)。本論文運(yùn)用熱拉爾·熱奈特的敘事學(xué)理論,從敘事時(shí)間、聚焦以及敘述者三個(gè)方面對(duì)《喧嘩與騷動(dòng)》進(jìn)行探索性分析,這種獨(dú)特的敘事方式導(dǎo)致獨(dú)特的人物塑造方式,看似逐漸消失的人物凱蒂,實(shí)為各個(gè)敘述者的指向中心,人物由此呈現(xiàn)多元意義,形成敘事多元的美學(xué)效果,深化了小說(shuō)主題,展現(xiàn)了美國(guó)南部貴族階級(jí)的衰落及現(xiàn)代人類發(fā)展的多元性。本論文為更深刻理解小說(shuō)人物隱含意義提供了新的視角。
