《去吧,摩西》是�？思{的主要作品之一。白1942年出版以來,它引起了眾多評論家及學者的關(guān)注,成為�？思{研究的熱點。早期的評論家更多的是把《去吧,摩西》作為一部短篇小說集,而當今的�？思{研究者則是將它看成一部完整連貫的長篇小說。本論文將從新歷史主義視角解讀《去吧,摩西》中的混血兒對南方莊園體制的顛覆。作為一位南方白人作家,福克納并未對南方的歷史文化持褒揚態(tài)度。他試圖顛覆南方莊園體制對混血兒的種族壓迫與歧視。通過將混血兒放在南方的歷史文化背景下進行分析研究,讀者將更真實、更清晰的了解混血兒在美國南方莊園里的生存狀況和他們的最終命運�；煅獌菏且粋�特殊群體,他們沒有人身自由,遭遇身份困境。盡管有著部分白人血液,他們依然遭受著白人莊園主的壓迫與剝削。在《去吧,摩西》中,對于無法忍受的社會地位,四代混血兒試圖顛覆美國南方的莊園體制,但都以失敗告終,他們無法穿越南方等級森嚴的種種界線。同時,混血兒的反抗結(jié)局也揭示了�？思{溫和的反奴隸制和反種族主義態(tài)度以及他對南方莊園的特殊情感。本論文的第一章追述了南方莊園的歷史及其《去吧,摩西》中的混血兒在南方莊園的中生活狀況。美國南方因其特殊的地理環(huán)境和歷史文化而...
