多麗絲·萊辛的代表作《金色筆記》被譽為“女權主義圣經”,而她也榮獲2007年諾貝爾文學獎。她的處女作《野草在歌唱》盡管使她蜚聲文壇,卻長久以來在國內受到忽視,而其中的女性主義元素則被殖民主義所掩蓋。本文在文本細讀的基礎上,以多麗絲·萊辛的處女作《野草在歌唱》中對于場所和物件的描寫為視角,通過運用女性主義分析女主人公生活和精神上的變化以及導致女主人精神荒原的潛在社會因素,旨在為當代進行的多麗絲·萊辛的小說研究提供些許參考。此外,通過詳細分析小說中場所和物件描寫展現女性生活現狀,以期達到闡釋女性作家和女性主義之間的關系的目的。引言主要論述萊辛的個人經歷和文學生涯、對萊辛本人的當代研究、《青草在歌唱》的相關評論。第一章探討女性主義以及女性主義對于萊辛本人的巨大影響,主要包括:萊辛與女性主義、《野草在歌唱》作為女性主義文本。第二章著重于以女主人公精神狀態(tài)的變化以及惡化為走向,進而分析小說中涉及到的物件及場所,本章包括五個部分:童年、學習和工作、結婚、最后的機會和完全幻滅。盡管商店里的氣味令人作嘔,而柜臺被多次提到,它們存在的意義在于共同組合成為一個籠罩南非的每一位婦女的令人窒息的物質與精神環(huán)境...
