海明威是美國現(xiàn)代文學最負盛名的作家,更是戰(zhàn)爭文學具有代表性的小說家。戰(zhàn)爭經(jīng)歷成就了海明威三部小說：《永別了武器》、《喪鐘為誰而鳴》、《太陽照常升起》。三部小說圍繞死亡主題,描述身處戰(zhàn)爭不同階段的人們所遭遇的肉體和精神的創(chuàng)傷。本文以海明威三部戰(zhàn)爭小說為題材,通過對其死亡主題的研究,揭露戰(zhàn)爭本質,探究海明威戰(zhàn)爭觀。一方面,戰(zhàn)爭扼殺生命,造成肉體死亡：即包括敵我雙方士兵和士兵家人的死亡。研究三部小說主人公悲劇性結局,披露戰(zhàn)爭的毀滅性質。另一方面,戰(zhàn)爭造成精神摧殘：幸存者失去摯愛,喪失生活信心,籠罩在幻滅與死亡陰影中,最后導致精神死亡。本文通過對海明威三部戰(zhàn)爭題材小說死亡主題的研究,深刻揭露了戰(zhàn)爭摧殘人肉體與精神的殘酷本質,得出海明威反戰(zhàn)思想。
