艾米麗·勃朗特是十九世紀(jì)英國(guó)文壇最為著名的作家之一,她的小說《呼嘯山莊》也是英國(guó)小說中最廣為閱讀和研究的小說之一。許多研究評(píng)論都圍繞著作品的人物性格和它獨(dú)特的敘事結(jié)構(gòu)展開。此篇論文主要研究了這部小說的兩點(diǎn)藝術(shù)創(chuàng)新。論文一共由四部分組成,第一章主要介紹了小說及其作者在英國(guó)文學(xué)史上的獨(dú)特地位,對(duì)小說內(nèi)容進(jìn)行了簡(jiǎn)短的敘述,同時(shí)還對(duì)有關(guān)此小說的文學(xué)批評(píng)的巨大變化做了闡述。第二章著力于分析《呼嘯山莊》這部小說在主題方面的創(chuàng)新。愛情是小說的主題之一,但是小說主要描述的凱瑟琳和西斯克里夫之間的愛情在現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中并不可能存在,我們也無法想象它的存在。它和維多利亞時(shí)期的其它愛情小說截然不同。同時(shí)通過描述這場(chǎng)不合常理的愛情,小說也探討了人類文明和自然的關(guān)系這一主題。第三章主要分析了小說另一藝術(shù)創(chuàng)新之處,也就是它在敘事結(jié)構(gòu)方面的創(chuàng)新即其作用。第三章首先對(duì)相關(guān)的敘事學(xué)概念做了簡(jiǎn)單的介紹,然后陳述了這部小說的時(shí)序安排和敘事結(jié)構(gòu)。此章主要集中于分析小說的兩個(gè)主要敘述者奈麗和洛克伍德的敘述功能,以及作者安排這兩位敘述者所起的作用。最后一章為總結(jié)部分,在這章里,論文作者對(duì)論文的主要觀點(diǎn)進(jìn)行了簡(jiǎn)短的總結(jié)和再次闡述。
