【摘要】：托尼·莫里森是第一位獲得諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)的美國黑人女作家，《所羅門之歌》是托尼·莫里森的代表之作。該小說在出版之后先后獲得了美國國家書評(píng)獎(jiǎng)以及美國藝術(shù)文學(xué)院獎(jiǎng)，被譽(yù)為繼理查德·賴特的《土生子》和拉爾夫·埃里森的《隱形人》之后的美國黑人文學(xué)上的又一里程碑式作品。 長(zhǎng)期以來國內(nèi)外對(duì)該作品的研究和批評(píng)主要集中于主題和文體方面，小說的主人公奶娃這一形象也一直廣受關(guān)注。評(píng)論家從不同的角度對(duì)此角色進(jìn)行了分析，包括象征主義、成長(zhǎng)小說等。本論文以韓禮德系統(tǒng)功能語法中的人際功能作為理論基礎(chǔ)，從語氣系統(tǒng)和情態(tài)系統(tǒng)兩個(gè)系統(tǒng)展開，試圖分析小說中主人公奶娃與其他人物對(duì)話中的語氣和情態(tài)特征，找出奶娃的性格在話語中的體現(xiàn)，并由此闡述主人公奶娃的性格特征及與周圍人物的關(guān)系，并試圖通過對(duì)比奶娃在尋找家族歷史和黑人文化前后的話語的語氣及情態(tài)變化，探討其人物形象的塑造是如何通過語言學(xué)手段實(shí)現(xiàn)的。 本文研究主要發(fā)現(xiàn)如下：首先，通過對(duì)《所羅門之歌》中人物對(duì)話樣本的人際意義分析，作者發(fā)現(xiàn)對(duì)話樣本中體現(xiàn)人際意義的例子很多。其次，小說對(duì)話中大量人際意義現(xiàn)象的分析表明系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)適用于文本分析，并為人物特征分析提供了一個(gè)新的角度。最后，，本文作者發(fā)現(xiàn)不同的語氣和情態(tài)選擇揭示了人物的不同的性格和社會(huì)地位，并突出了小說的主題：成長(zhǎng)。因此，以系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)為基礎(chǔ)，對(duì)文學(xué)作品中的人物言語進(jìn)行人際意義分析具有一定的理論意義和應(yīng)用價(jià)值。 本文前兩章分別是引言和文獻(xiàn)綜述。第三章從人際功能的語氣系統(tǒng)和情態(tài)系統(tǒng)角度分析《所羅門之歌》中的主人公奶娃這一人物形象。首先通過分析奶娃在他的家鄉(xiāng)密歇根的一個(gè)小鎮(zhèn)時(shí)與朋友、家人的對(duì)話中的情態(tài)及語氣，反映出奶娃的性格特征及與周圍人的關(guān)系，其次分析奶娃在尋找家族歷史和黑人文化之旅中與他人的對(duì)話中的情態(tài)及語氣，從而看出因奶娃性格的轉(zhuǎn)變、內(nèi)心的成長(zhǎng)而導(dǎo)致與周圍人物說話方式的改變。這樣的改變是通過人物對(duì)話中語氣與情態(tài)的不同反映出來的，從而說明語氣和情態(tài)分析可以呈現(xiàn)人物特征及其個(gè)性變化。最后一章是對(duì)本論文的總結(jié)，同時(shí)指出本文的不足及對(duì)下一步研究的建議。
[Abstract]:Tony Morrison is the first black American writer to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. Song of Solomon is the representative of Tony Morrison. After its publication, the novel won the National Book Review Award and the American Academy of Art and Literature Awards. It is hailed as another milestone in black American literature after Richard Wright's Native son and Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man. For a long time, the research and criticism of the novel at home and abroad are mainly focused on the theme and style, and the image of the protagonist of the novel has been paid close attention to all the time. Critics analyze this role from different perspectives, including symbolism, initiation novels and so on. Based on the interpersonal function in the functional grammar of Halliday system, this paper attempts to analyze the mood and modality characteristics of the dialogue between the protagonist and other characters from the two systems of mood system and modality system. Find out the embodiment of the character of the milk baby in the discourse, and expound the character characteristics of the protagonist and the relationship with the surrounding characters, and try to compare the mood and modality change of the discourse before and after looking for the family history and the black culture of the milk baby. In this paper, the author discusses how to shape the image of his characters by means of linguistics. The main findings of this paper are as follows: firstly, by analyzing the interpersonal meaning of the dialogue sample in Song of Solomon, the author finds that there are many examples of interpersonal meaning in the dialogue sample. Secondly, the analysis of a large number of interpersonal meaning phenomena in the novel dialogue shows that systemic functional linguistics is suitable for text analysis and provides a new perspective for character analysis. Finally, the author finds that different mood and modality choices reveal the different character and social status of the characters, and highlight the theme of the novel: growing up. Therefore, on the basis of systemic functional linguistics, it is of theoretical significance and practical value to analyze the interpersonal meaning of the characters in literary works. The first two chapters of this paper are preface and literature review respectively. The third chapter analyzes the character image of the protagonist in Song of Solomon from the perspective of mood system and modality system of interpersonal function. First of all, by analyzing the mood and mood of the conversation with friends and family when she was in a small town in his hometown Michigan, it reflected the personality characteristics of the baby and its relationship with the people around it. Secondly, it analyzes the modality and tone of conversation with others in the journey of looking for family history and black culture, so as to find out that the change of character and inner growth lead to the change of speaking style with the surrounding characters. This change is reflected by the difference between mood and modality in the dialogue of characters, which shows that the analysis of mood and modality can present the character characteristics and personality changes. The last chapter is a summary of this paper, and points out the shortcomings of this paper and suggestions for further research.
