【摘要】：本論文分析海明威短篇小說中的概念隱喻。依據(jù)萊考夫與強(qiáng)生(1980)、萊考夫與特納(1989)、和Kovecses(2002)對英語中常規(guī)隱喻的研究,小說中海明威使用的概念隱喻將與部分常規(guī)隱喻作對比。分析表明多數(shù)海明威的新奇隱喻都是基于常規(guī)隱喻的再創(chuàng)造。少數(shù)更為個(gè)性化的新奇隱喻傳達(dá)了海明威對現(xiàn)實(shí)世界的獨(dú)特觀點(diǎn)與理解。較之意象隱喻,海明威較多的使用了能起到構(gòu)建全文作用的概念隱喻。概念隱喻在作品中起到了構(gòu)建全文的作用,是解讀海明威“水面下八分之七的冰山”的關(guān)鍵。 論文主要探討的是三種隱喻類型(結(jié)構(gòu)隱喻,方向隱喻和本體隱喻)之一的結(jié)構(gòu)隱喻和意象隱喻。論文第一章緒論闡述了研究目的、意義以及文章結(jié)構(gòu),第二章綜述前人研究,第三章以海明威短篇小說和其他作品中的概念隱喻為例,簡略介紹了萊考夫的概念隱喻理論。第四章分別具體分析了《大雙心河》、《白象似的群山》和《一個(gè)干凈明亮的地方》三篇短篇小說中的概念隱喻,探討其概念隱喻對構(gòu)建全文,讀者理解和賞析作品的作用。三篇短篇小說分別出自不同的小說集,以期展現(xiàn)海明威不同時(shí)期,不同主題的作品。論文最后一章提出結(jié)論并指出未來可從認(rèn)知詩學(xué)的其它角度對海明威短篇小說進(jìn)行全面、深入分析。
[Abstract]:This thesis analyzes conceptual metaphors in Hemingway's short stories. Based on the study of conventional metaphors in English by Lakoff and Johnson (1980), Lakoff and Turner (1989), and Kovecses (2002), the conceptual metaphors used by Hemingway in the novel will be compared with some conventional metaphors. The analysis shows that most of Hemingway's novel metaphors are based on the re-creation of conventional metaphors. A few more individualized novel metaphors convey Hemingway's unique view and understanding of the real world. Hemingway used more conceptual metaphors than imagery metaphors. Conceptual metaphor plays an important role in constructing the full text and is the key to interpret Hemingway's the iceberg of 7/8 below the Water. This paper mainly discusses the structural metaphor and image metaphor of one of the three types of metaphor (structural metaphor, directional metaphor and Noumenon metaphor). The first chapter introduces the purpose, significance and structure of the research, the second chapter summarizes the previous studies, the third chapter takes Hemingway's short stories and other works as an example, briefly introduces Lakoff's conceptual metaphor theory. The fourth chapter analyzes the conceptual metaphors in three short stories, "Big Shuangxin River", "White Elephant Mountains" and "A Clean and bright place", and probes into the role of conceptual metaphors in constructing the full text, understanding and appreciating the works. The three short stories come from different collections of novels in order to show Hemingway's works of different periods and themes. In the last chapter, the author points out that Hemingway's short stories can be comprehensively and deeply analyzed from other aspects of cognitive poetics.
