運用創(chuàng)傷理論對《修補(bǔ)匠》中人物喬治的研究

【摘要】:保羅·哈丁是一位新晉的美國作者,其處女作《修補(bǔ)匠》是他的代表作,并最終獲得2010年度普利策小說獎!缎扪a(bǔ)匠》主要講述了男主角喬治在臨死前的對其一生的回憶以及他父親和祖父的故事。通過描寫克羅斯比一家三代的人生經(jīng)歷,展現(xiàn)了保羅哈丁對死亡和時間的獨特理解。 創(chuàng)傷理論是一個以分析創(chuàng)傷事件,創(chuàng)傷癥狀和創(chuàng)傷復(fù)原為核心的著名理論。同時,這一理論與文學(xué)緊密連。創(chuàng)傷理論為文學(xué)創(chuàng)作提供了新的視角,同時也為文學(xué)評論的進(jìn)步做出了重大貢獻(xiàn)。 本文分為緒論,主體和結(jié)論三個部分。緒論部分概述了保羅哈丁和他的作品《修補(bǔ)匠》,對創(chuàng)傷理論從各個方面進(jìn)行了簡要介紹,同時對本文的研究現(xiàn)狀進(jìn)行了綜述。 主體部分分為三章。第一章分析了喬治的創(chuàng)傷經(jīng)歷以及創(chuàng)傷經(jīng)歷所帶來的創(chuàng)傷癥狀。對創(chuàng)傷經(jīng)歷的分析主要圍繞著主人公喬治的童年回憶展開的。對于生活在貧窮家庭的喬治來說,父母的忽視以及對父愛的渴望迫使他長期處于創(chuàng)傷的環(huán)境之中,,并最終被殘酷的現(xiàn)實所傷害。對創(chuàng)傷癥狀的分析分為兩個部分:對重復(fù)體驗的分析和對創(chuàng)傷情感回避的分析。指出在這些癥狀總是縈繞在喬治的生活中。在第二章,分析了造成喬治創(chuàng)傷的原因。親子間畸形的關(guān)系是造成喬治心理創(chuàng)傷的首要原因。而冷漠的社會關(guān)系間接加劇了喬治的創(chuàng)傷所帶來的危害。第三章介紹了喬治創(chuàng)傷復(fù)原的三個階段:新生活的建立,回憶創(chuàng)傷事件,與人相交。在這一章,文章分析了生活環(huán)境的改變對喬治一生的影響,指出了喬治臨死的回憶是創(chuàng)傷復(fù)原的必經(jīng)之路,以及與家人朋友的相處為喬治能夠戰(zhàn)勝創(chuàng)傷提供了不可或缺的條件。只有在三個階段共同作用下才使得在小說的結(jié)尾處,喬治的創(chuàng)傷得了真正的治愈。 在創(chuàng)傷理論基礎(chǔ)上對喬治進(jìn)行分析之后,在文章的結(jié)論部分總結(jié)了前文并指出用創(chuàng)傷理論分析喬治這個角色賦予了對小說的新的理解和新的視角。
[Abstract]:Paul Harding is a new American writer, and his first work, "the tinker," is his masterpiece. And won the Pulitzer Prize of the year 2010. "the tinker" tells the story of the hero George's life before his death and the story of his father and grandfather. By describing the life experiences of the Crosby family of three generations, Paul Harding's unique understanding of death and time is demonstrated. Trauma theory is a famous theory focusing on the analysis of traumatic events, symptoms and recovery. At the same time, this theory is closely connected with literature. Trauma theory not only provides a new perspective for literary creation, but also contributes greatly to the progress of literary criticism. This paper is divided into three parts: introduction, subject and conclusion. In the introduction part, Paul Harding and his work "the tinker" are summarized, and the trauma theory is briefly introduced from various aspects. At the same time, the present research situation of this paper is summarized. The main part is divided into three chapters. The first chapter analyzes the traumatic experience of George and the traumatic symptoms caused by the traumatic experience. The analysis of traumatic experiences revolves around George's childhood memories. For George, who lives in a poor family, the neglect of his parents and the desire for paternity force him to be in a traumatic environment for a long time and eventually be hurt by the cruel reality. The analysis of trauma symptoms is divided into two parts: the analysis of repeated experience and the analysis of emotional avoidance of trauma. Note that these symptoms always haunt George's life. In the second chapter, the causes of George trauma are analyzed. The relationship between parents and children is the primary cause of George trauma. The cold social relationship indirectly aggravated the harm caused by George trauma. Chapter three introduces the three stages of George trauma recovery: the establishment of new life, the recall of traumatic events, and the interaction with people. In this chapter, the author analyzes the influence of the change of living environment on George's life, points out that George's dying memory is the only way to recover from trauma, and that getting along with family and friends provides an indispensable condition for George to overcome the trauma. It is only at the end of the novel that George's wounds are truly healed under the combined action of three stages. After the analysis of George on the basis of trauma theory, the conclusion of this paper summarizes the above and points out that the role of George in trauma theory gives a new understanding and a new perspective to the novel.
