【摘要】：美洲新大陸的發(fā)現(xiàn)標(biāo)志著近代歷史的開端。長期以來，克里斯托弗·哥倫布因其果敢、聰慧、高超的航海技藝以及卓越的功績而被西方國家尊為英雄。二戰(zhàn)后，隨著民權(quán)運(yùn)動和環(huán)境保護(hù)運(yùn)動的興起，不少美國人尤其是土著人和環(huán)保人士對正統(tǒng)哥倫布形象提出質(zhì)疑。因其虐待土著人，，破壞當(dāng)?shù)刈匀画h(huán)境，哥倫布被很多人視為失敗者。通過比較分析兩部具有代表性的當(dāng)代哥倫布傳記《哥倫布傳》和《征服天堂》，本文研究旨在探討哥倫布形象在美國轉(zhuǎn)變的原因。 首先，本文簡要回顧了新大陸發(fā)現(xiàn)以來哥倫布形象的三個發(fā)展階段。其次，本文詳細(xì)探討了兩部哥倫布傳記中哥倫布的正統(tǒng)形象和負(fù)面形象。再次，通過比較兩部傳記作者的思想和歷史觀的差異，以及其所處的文化背景的不同，本文重點(diǎn)分析了哥倫布形象轉(zhuǎn)變的原因。本文采用文史相結(jié)合的方法，從歷史角度分析兩部代表性著作的史學(xué)觀，研究歷史人物形象在公眾心目中的轉(zhuǎn)變，通過這種方式，本文研究有助于加深人們對西方文化的認(rèn)識。
[Abstract]:The discovery of the New World marked the beginning of modern history. For a long time, Christopher Columbus was revered as a hero in the West for his daring, intelligence, great navigational skills, and remarkable achievements. With the rise of the civil rights movement and the environmental movement, many Americans, especially the aborigines and environmentalists, questioned the orthodox image of Columbus because of its abuse of the indigenous people and the destruction of the local natural environment. Columbus is regarded as a loser by many people. By comparative analysis of two representative contemporary Columbus biographies Columbus and Conquest of Heaven this study aims to explore the reasons for the transformation of Columbus' image in the United States. First of all, this paper briefly reviews the three stages of the development of Columbus' image since the discovery of the New World. Secondly, this paper discusses in detail the orthodox and negative images of Columbus in the two biographies of Columbus. By comparing the differences of the two biographers' ideas and historical views, as well as the cultural background in which they are located, this paper focuses on the reasons for the transformation of Columbus' image. By analyzing the historical view of the two representative works and studying the change of historical figures' image in the public mind, this paper is helpful to deepen people's understanding of western culture.
