【摘要】：艾麗絲·沃克的代表作《紫色》一出版即成為暢銷小說，轟動全美評論界，并于次年獲得普利策獎、美國全國圖書獎和全國書評家協(xié)會獎。小說圍繞主人公西麗的成長歷程，塑造了一個典型的在男權社會中尋求自我身份的黑人女性形象。本文以小說中的黑人男性形象為分析焦點，從作者的婦女主義思想角度對其進行了研究。 《紫色》首先在內(nèi)容創(chuàng)作上就有別于傳統(tǒng)黑人女性作家的作品。該書信體小說是一部從婦女主義視角進行創(chuàng)作的成長型作品。“婦女主義”（womanism）一詞最早出現(xiàn)于小說作者沃克的《尋找我們母親的花園：婦女主義文論》散文集中，旨在與女性主義(feminism)區(qū)分開來。沃克將“婦女主義者”（womanist）定義為“有色人種的女性主義者”，是“宇宙主義者”，其目的是“致力于整個人類的生存與完整，包括男人和女人”，建立男性與女性的和諧關系。基于此理論思想，沃克塑造了一個個鮮明的婦女主義者形象。 對沃克及其《紫色》的研究可謂汗牛充棟，，但大多研究均圍繞女性尋求自我身份和最終的解放、黑人英語、黑人女性間的姐妹情誼、敘事策略和小說形式及同性戀等問題。對小說中黑人男性形象的研究主要來自黑人男性批評者和女性主義批評者，大多認為沃克對男性人物的描述過于殘暴，過于否定而表現(xiàn)出人物形象的不真實性。此類批評者認為，這是沃克對黑人男性的污蔑和詆毀，歪曲了黑人社區(qū)的本來面目。雖有個別評論對文中男性形象持一定的肯定態(tài)度，但也未能深入地將其與作者的婦女主義思想相聯(lián)系。然而，從小說黑人男性形象的視角出發(fā)，通過解讀黑人男性的成長歷程及分析小說中的正面男性形象，讀者更能品味出沃克的婦女主義思想及其精髓。 本文在前人研究的基礎上論述了《紫色》中的黑人男性形象與婦女主義思想的內(nèi)在聯(lián)系，對書中的男性人物及作者的婦女主義思想賦予了新的內(nèi)涵。本文認為： 沃克雖然對作品中的反面男性人物進行了尖刻的批評，但同時也給予了他們婦女主義的人文關懷。黑人與男性的“雙重身份”賦予他們加害者與受害者的雙重角色。小說中由惡轉(zhuǎn)善的黑人男性形象闡釋了沃克婦女主義思想的終極目標，即“致力于整個人類的生存與完整，包括男人和女人”，以此建立和諧的男女關系及和諧社區(qū)。小說中正面的男性形象則描繪了沃克婦女主義思想中理想的黑人男性形象，這也是沃克對全體黑人男性所懷的希望。 總之，沃克的婦女主義思想除了傳達對黑人女性的贊美之外，也同樣對黑人男性給予人道主義的關懷與期望。對黑人男性形象的婦女主義分析解讀，無疑能幫助讀者加深對婦女主義思想深刻內(nèi)涵的理解，對作者沃克筆下的男性形象的新的認識。本文作者希望藉此為理解和分析沃克其他作品中的黑人男性形象及其婦女主義思想提供新的視角和方法。
[Abstract]:Alice Walker's masterpiece, Purple, became a best-selling novel as soon as it was published, sparking the nation's critics and winning the Pulitzer Prize the following year. The National Book Award and the National Association of Book reviewers Award. The novel revolves around the protagonist's growing up. This paper focuses on the black male image in the novel and studies it from the perspective of the author's feminism. Purple is different from traditional black female writers in content creation. The epistolary novel is a growing work created from the perspective of feminism. The term womanism first appeared in the prose collection of the novel author Walker, "looking for our Mother's Garden: a Literary Theory of womanism". Designed to distinguish it from feminism, Walker defines "womanistist" as a "feminist of color" and a "cosmalist". Its purpose is to "devote to the existence and integrity of the whole human being, including men and women", and establish a harmonious relationship between men and women. Based on this theoretical thought, Walker molds a vivid image of womanists. The study of Walker and his Purple is a great deal, but most of the studies focus on the search for self-identity and ultimate liberation of women, black English, and sisterhood among black women. The study of black male image in the novel mainly comes from black male critics and feminist critics, most of whom think that Walker's portrayal of male characters is too brutal. Such critics argue that Walker is slandering and vilifying black men. It distorts the true face of the black community. Although there are some comments on the male image of the text, it does not have a deep connection with the author's feminism. From the perspective of the black male image in the novel, the readers can taste Walker's feminism and its essence by interpreting the growth process of the black man and analyzing the positive male image in the novel. On the basis of previous studies, this paper discusses the inner relationship between the black male image in Purple and the thought of feminism. This paper gives a new connotation to the masculine characters and the author's feminism in the book. Walker, though, criticizes the negative male characters in his work. But it also gives them the humanistic care of feminism. The "dual identity" of Black and male. They are given the dual roles of the victimizer and the victim. The black male image of evil turns into good in the novel which explains the ultimate goal of Walker's feminism. That is, "dedicated to the survival and integrity of the entire human race, including men and women". The positive male image in the novel depicts the ideal black male image in Walker's feminism, which is also Walker's hope for all black men. In a word, Walker's feminism thought not only conveys praise to black women, but also gives humanitarian care and expectation to black men. Undoubtedly, it can help readers to deepen their understanding of the profound connotation of feminism. The author of this paper hopes to provide a new perspective and method for understanding and analyzing the black male images and their feminist thoughts in Walker's other works.
