【摘要】：自然語(yǔ)言是模糊而充滿未定點(diǎn),無(wú)法全部表達(dá)人們的思想。語(yǔ)用充實(shí)在成功交際中起著重要作用。在語(yǔ)境的基礎(chǔ)上受話人通過(guò)語(yǔ)用充實(shí)填補(bǔ)語(yǔ)言的未定點(diǎn),進(jìn)而推導(dǎo)出發(fā)話人的隱含意義。翻譯是跨語(yǔ)言跨文化的語(yǔ)言交際,譯者首先作為交際者通過(guò)解碼和充實(shí)明確原文意欲表達(dá)的意義,然后將作者的交際意圖用目的語(yǔ)再次編碼,形成作者、源語(yǔ)文本和目標(biāo)語(yǔ)讀者間的交際。語(yǔ)用充實(shí)既是一種翻譯現(xiàn)象和方法,又是翻譯研究的一個(gè)語(yǔ)用學(xué)角度,引起了很多學(xué)者的關(guān)注�！杜_(tái)北人》是十四篇風(fēng)格各異的短篇小說(shuō)的結(jié)集,堪稱短篇小說(shuō)的經(jīng)典。經(jīng)出版,奠定了白先勇在世界華文文壇的位置。白先勇用寫(xiě)實(shí)的筆調(diào)多角度描寫(xiě)了一群居住在的臺(tái)北的大陸人,活在過(guò)去的“榮光”里,或猶唱后庭之花,或談?wù)f天寶遺事。作者賦予每個(gè)人物自己的語(yǔ)言,或高雅,或粗俗,而且有許多典故妙用。這給翻譯帶來(lái)了非同尋常的挑戰(zhàn)。白先勇和葉佩霞合力使其渡過(guò)兩種文字播遷的風(fēng)險(xiǎn),使英譯本和讀者見(jiàn)面。本文擬從語(yǔ)用充實(shí)的角度分析《臺(tái)北人》英譯。本文認(rèn)為,白先勇和葉佩霞在翻譯中采取的語(yǔ)用充實(shí)主要是基于原語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言和目的語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言之間,以及原語(yǔ)文化和目的語(yǔ)文化之間的差異。該論文主要分析和探究語(yǔ)用充實(shí)在指示語(yǔ)、概念和文化負(fù)載詞方面的應(yīng)用。語(yǔ)用充實(shí)能有效明確指示語(yǔ)的指稱對(duì)象,減少概念表征的差異,并彌補(bǔ)目的語(yǔ)讀者的文化信息空缺,從而達(dá)到盡可能的語(yǔ)用對(duì)等,提高譯文的接受度。
