【摘要】：約翰·羅斯金的《近代畫(huà)家》是19世紀(jì)英國(guó)藝術(shù)批評(píng)史上里程碑式的作品。長(zhǎng)期以來(lái),學(xué)界在研究該書(shū)的創(chuàng)作背景和重要性時(shí)格外關(guān)注其中為特納的辯護(hù)和針對(duì)雷諾茲的揚(yáng)棄。但兩種思路都未能充分回應(yīng)羅斯金本人關(guān)于創(chuàng)作目的的解釋。通過(guò)梳理《近代畫(huà)家》前兩卷以及與之相關(guān)的記錄并在19世紀(jì)上半期英國(guó)大眾藝術(shù)批評(píng)演進(jìn)的視野中考察本書(shū),讀者將看到一場(chǎng)圍繞藝術(shù)評(píng)論話語(yǔ)權(quán)的努力和競(jìng)爭(zhēng),進(jìn)而重新審視羅斯金關(guān)于美與品味的理論探討,把握其思想的來(lái)龍去脈,更好地理解他在彼時(shí)眾多藝術(shù)批評(píng)趨向中的制勝所在。
[Abstract]:John Ruskin's Modern Painter is a landmark in the history of British art criticism in 19th century. In studying the background and importance of the book, scholars pay particular attention to the defense of Turner and the sublation of Reynolds. However, neither of the two ideas can fully respond to Ruskin's explanation of the purpose of creation. The first two volumes of Modern Painters and their related records, and in the first half of 19th century in the British popular art criticism in the evolution of the vision of the book, Readers will see an effort and competition around the right to speak in art criticism, and then re-examine Ruskin's theoretical discussion of beauty and taste, and grasp the context of his thoughts. A better understanding of his numerous artistic criticism at that time in the trend of victory.
