【摘要】：萊考夫和約翰遜在其1980年的巨著《我們賴以生存的隱喻》中首次構(gòu)建起 概念隱喻理論‖的框架，從而引發(fā)了學界對隱喻機制熱烈的討論。本文在概念隱喻理論和意象圖式結(jié)構(gòu)的框架下，試圖運用語料庫方法對英漢人生隱喻進行對比研究，旨在發(fā)現(xiàn)英漢在理解人生隱喻乃至人生觀理解上的共性與差異，并探索其背后的深層原因。 研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，在人生概念與其他概念的隱喻映射中，目標-路徑圖式(PATH)起了主導性作用。在該圖式的制約下，不同的隱喻概念對人生的理解有不同的影響。以上是兩種語言之間的共性。不同的是，英語中容器圖示也對人生隱喻的映射起到一定影響，而且超過半數(shù)的人生概念是以個人所有物的概念呈現(xiàn)的。而在漢語中，人生沒有體現(xiàn)出較強的個人所有物的特征，相反，對人生的認識受到主流價值觀的影響較大。在人生觀的問題上，符合社會要求的觀念以教育的方式影響個體。這種差異主要是由英漢兩種文化價值觀的不同導致的。前者強調(diào)個人主義的思想，而后者以集體主義觀念為中心。 本文的主要創(chuàng)新之處有兩點。第一，在研究方法上采用語料庫的方法，這在傳統(tǒng)的以內(nèi)省為主的人生隱喻研究中有一定的創(chuàng)新意義。語料主要來源于英語國家語料庫和北大現(xiàn)代漢語語料庫，，數(shù)據(jù)全面，真實可靠。第二點創(chuàng)新在于，研究結(jié)論反映了語言的實際使用情況。比如在研究英漢人生隱喻差異時，本文發(fā)現(xiàn)最大的差異并不在于哪些具體概念用來理解人生，而在于看待人生的角度不同。這些角度的不同主要是由于文化價值觀上個人主義與集體主義的差異導致的。
