認(rèn)知框架視角下的語篇連貫研究

【摘要】:人類的言語活動(dòng)要求交際雙方表達(dá)思想清楚、前后脈絡(luò)貫通,避免前言不搭后語,這就是言語活動(dòng)的“連貫”要求。“連貫”是哲學(xué)、心理學(xué)、語言學(xué)、人工智能等的共生課題。連貫研究在閱讀與寫作等言語活動(dòng)中具有悠久的歷史,而真正引起廣泛關(guān)注的則是Halliday和Hassan《英語的銜接》(1976)出版之后的事情。在隨后的三十多年里,連貫研究已成為系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)和語篇分析等領(lǐng)域的重要課題,其研究廣度與深度都得到了極大拓展,研究成果豐碩。這些研究只能說部分解決了“什么是連貫”等基本問題,但目前仍缺乏一種公認(rèn)的連貫研究模型。隨著近年來認(rèn)知語言學(xué)的迅猛發(fā)展,人們開始思考借用其概念與方法去詮釋連貫。受此啟迪,本文采用“認(rèn)知框架”概念,意在構(gòu)建語篇連貫解讀的認(rèn)知框架模型,探究語篇連貫研究的新視角或新方法。 研究假設(shè):語篇連貫就是解讀語篇意義,是解讀者在微觀、中觀和宏觀認(rèn)知框架中,通過激活語篇的詞素、詞、小句、段落等語言符號所裹挾的概念和概念關(guān)系,在其心智中產(chǎn)生的意義關(guān)聯(lián)。 認(rèn)知框架的工作定義:認(rèn)知框架(簡稱“框架”)是建立在人類體驗(yàn)之上、與場景相關(guān)的概念結(jié)構(gòu),是信仰、社會(huì)實(shí)踐、制度、意向等的圖式表征,是語篇編碼概念所預(yù)設(shè)的背景知識(shí),是特定言語社團(tuán)成員交流的認(rèn)知基礎(chǔ),是微觀、中觀和宏觀三位一體的認(rèn)知結(jié)構(gòu)。 各章的內(nèi)容和主要觀點(diǎn)如下: 第一章介紹選題緣由、研究目標(biāo)與方法、主要觀點(diǎn)與創(chuàng)新。第二章梳理語篇與語篇連貫的定義與分類,歸納出語篇連貫研究的語言形式功能、語用推理、認(rèn)知心理和多維研究等方法,從而提出從認(rèn)知框架視角研究語篇連貫的必要性。 第三章從認(rèn)知框架的特征、定義與分類出發(fā),重構(gòu)語篇連貫研究的微觀、中觀和宏觀認(rèn)知框架三位一體的理論模型。 第四、第五和第六章分論微觀、中觀和宏觀認(rèn)知框架如何作用于語篇連貫。第四章把詞素、詞、小句等語言單位所激活的概念與概念場,視為解讀語篇連貫的微觀認(rèn)知框架的啟動(dòng)因素,而概念隱喻和概念轉(zhuǎn)喻則是語篇連貫中起作用的兩種主要微觀認(rèn)知框架類型。概念隱喻作用于語篇連貫取決于源概念場和目標(biāo)概念場中各概念與概念關(guān)系的系統(tǒng)映射,概念轉(zhuǎn)喻作用于語篇連貫則取決于同一概念場中各概念間的鄰近關(guān)系。第五章探究語篇連貫解讀的中觀認(rèn)知框架,句際與段際之間的各種邏輯語義關(guān)系與意象圖式是其具體表現(xiàn)。因果、相似和鄰近等邏輯語義關(guān)系是語篇連貫解讀的觀念聯(lián)絡(luò)原則,意象圖式則是感知體驗(yàn)在人類心智中反復(fù)出現(xiàn)的模式,是連接語言與認(rèn)知思維的中介。第六章根據(jù)框架語義學(xué)與構(gòu)式語法的互補(bǔ)關(guān)系,提出語篇構(gòu)式是語篇連貫解讀的宏觀認(rèn)知框架。語篇構(gòu)式是語言的構(gòu)式研究推廣到篇章層次的自然要求,在更高層次上揭示了語篇理解的整體性與宏觀意圖。論證結(jié)構(gòu)和故事結(jié)構(gòu)是兩種典型的語篇構(gòu)式,它們在宏觀層次上保證了語篇連貫。 第七章考察認(rèn)知框架的動(dòng)態(tài)性對語篇連貫解讀的作用。認(rèn)知框架是語篇分析的一種方法、策略和世界觀,用于分析言語產(chǎn)品,既可揭示構(gòu)建者的話語意圖,又能洞悉因不同解讀者的認(rèn)知視角差所蘊(yùn)含的不同語篇連貫方式。媒體對2008年金融危機(jī)的報(bào)道揭示了不同話語構(gòu)建者的認(rèn)知視角差,對宋詞人李清照《如夢令》原文與英譯文對比分析,則彰顯了不同解讀者的認(rèn)知視角所衍生的多重語篇意義。 第八章回望本研究的主要內(nèi)容、創(chuàng)新與不足。本研究有三方面的創(chuàng)新:(1)以認(rèn)知語言學(xué)的“認(rèn)知框架”為語篇連貫研究的理論根據(jù),開創(chuàng)了語篇連貫研究的新方法和新視野;(2)從微觀、中觀和宏觀三方面范疇化“認(rèn)知框架”,并用于構(gòu)建語篇連貫解讀的認(rèn)知框架模型,突破了言內(nèi)與言外的二元對立分類標(biāo)準(zhǔn);(3)提出了“語篇構(gòu)式”概念,既拓展了構(gòu)式語法的研究層次,又能確保語篇連貫的正確解讀。
[Abstract]:The human speech activity requires both the communication and the two sides to express their thought clearly, to pass through before and after, to avoid the words in the front, which is the "Coherence" of the speech activity. "Coherence" is a symbiosis subject of philosophy, psychology, linguistics, artificial intelligence and so on. Coherence research has a long history in the speech activities such as reading and writing, and the real cause of widespread concern is Halliday and Hassan (1976). In the following more than 30 years, coherent research has become an important subject in the field of systematic functional linguistics and discourse analysis. These studies can only be used to address basic issues such as "What is coherence", but there is still a lack of a recognized coherent study model. With the rapid development of cognitive linguistics in recent years, people have begun to think and use their concepts and methods to interpret the coherence. This paper, by using the concept of "cognitive framework", is intended to build a cognitive framework model of textual coherence and to explore a new perspective or a new approach to the coherence of the discourse. The research hypothesis: the coherence of the text is the interpretation of the meaning of the text, which is the concept and the concept relation of the reader in the micro, meso-and macro-cognitive framework, by activating the language symbols such as the morpheme, the word, the small sentence, the paragraph and the like in the discourse, and the meaning of the generation in his mind. The definition of the work of the cognitive framework: the cognitive framework ("the frame") is based on the human experience, and the conceptual structure related to the scene is the schema representation of the belief, the social practice, the system, the intention, etc. It is the pre-set back of the discourse coding concept.
