【摘要】：自從20世紀(jì)80年代以后,在中國翻譯界有這樣一則理論引起廣泛關(guān)注：尤金·奈達(dá)的“功能對等理論”。這個理論的提出,極大地推動了翻譯理論的進(jìn)步和發(fā)展。和傳統(tǒng)理論不同,該理論不再把關(guān)注點(diǎn)放在原文和譯文上,而是把焦點(diǎn)轉(zhuǎn)移到讀者反應(yīng)上。奈達(dá)的功能對等理論又從另外一個方面,對翻譯的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)重新進(jìn)行了一個動態(tài)的詮釋。提出最理想的翻譯,是要使譯文的讀者對譯文的反應(yīng)和原文讀者對原文的反應(yīng)相同。 《水滸傳》是中國四大名著之一,而沙博理版《水滸傳》譯本在世界上影響很大,在一定程度上對原著《水滸傳》進(jìn)行了一個比較系統(tǒng)和對等的翻譯,達(dá)到了原文讀者對原文本的反應(yīng)和譯文讀者對譯文的反應(yīng)大致相同的效果。而本文以尤金·奈達(dá)的功能對等理論為理論基礎(chǔ),對沙博理版《水滸傳》進(jìn)行分析,試圖回答以下兩個研究問題：在沙博理版《水滸傳》里,哪些方面實(shí)現(xiàn)了對等,對等的程度如何?作者又是如何實(shí)現(xiàn)的功能對等,是通過哪些翻譯方法實(shí)現(xiàn)的這一理論? 通過原文與譯文的對比研究,分析得出：在沙博理版《水滸傳》里,從語義對等、文體對等和文化對等三個方面實(shí)現(xiàn)了功能對等。作者通過直譯、意譯、直譯加解釋、注釋、概括幾種翻譯方法進(jìn)行實(shí)現(xiàn)這一理論。 本文研究的意義在于,在奈達(dá)的功能對等的理論基礎(chǔ)上,通過對中文版《水滸傳》和沙博理版《水滸傳》的對比研究,證實(shí)了該譯本是實(shí)現(xiàn)了功能對等理論的。
[Abstract]:Since the 1980's, there has been such a theory in Chinese translation circles that Eugene Nida's "functional equivalence theory" has attracted wide attention. This theory has greatly promoted the progress and development of translation theory. Different from the traditional theory, the theory no longer focuses on the source and the target text, but on the reader's response. Nida's functional equivalence theory reinterprets the criterion of translation from another aspect. The ideal translation is to make the readers' response to the target text equal to that of the original text. The Water margin is one of the four famous works in China, and the Sidney Shapiro version of Water margin has a great influence on the world. To a certain extent, the author makes a systematic and equivalent translation of the original book, Water margin, and achieves the effect that the response of the original reader to the original text is approximately the same as that of the target text. On the basis of Eugene Nida's functional equivalence theory, this paper analyzes the Sidney Shapiro edition of Water margin and tries to answer the following two research questions: what aspects have achieved equivalence in the Sidney Shapiro edition of Water margin? What is the degree of parity? How does the author realize functional equivalence, and through which translation methods does the author realize this theory? through the comparative study of the original text and the translated text, it is concluded that in the Sidney Shapiro edition of the Water margin, semantic equivalence can be obtained. The functional equivalence is realized in three aspects: stylistic equivalence and cultural equivalence. The author implements this theory by means of literal translation, free translation, literal translation plus interpretation, annotation, and generalizing several translation methods. The significance of this study lies in the foundation of Nida's functional equivalence theory. A comparative study of the Chinese version of Water margin and the Sidney Shapiro version of Water margin proves that the translation implements the functional equivalence theory.
