映射視角下中英思維模式對語篇的影響研究

【摘要】:語篇是一個具有完整意義的語義單位。它與句子的關系不是大小關系,而是“實現關系”,即語篇依靠句子實現,但語篇不是句子的任意堆砌。構成語篇的句子在意義和結構上都是相關的,有照應手段將其聯(lián)系在一起。語篇長短不一,一個句子、短語甚至一個單詞都可以構成語篇。因此,我們可以狹義地認為語篇是由詞、句子按照一定的照應手段構成的。本文基于思維和語言之間的關系,對比分析中英思維模式對語篇構成產生的影響。 思維與語言之間的關系,不僅是哲學、心理學所關注的主要議題之一,同時也涉及“薩丕爾--沃爾夫假說”。在認知語言學中,思維既是認知的核心,又是屬于認知過程的;思維和語言的關系集中體現了一種映射關系:認知語言學認為人們之間用同一種語言表達某種思想或情感時都體現出約定俗成的意象。認知語言學中的象似性是指語言結構與人的經驗結構之間的自然聯(lián)系,即語言結構直接映照經驗結構。 在分析中英思維模式對語篇構成產生的影響過程中,本文作者探索的觸角并未局限于哲學、心理學和文化層面,而是進一步采用了認知語言學中的方法,在映射視角下,挖掘造成中英思維模式對語篇構成產生影響的認知根源。試圖在具體的語言分析中驗證認知語言學的理論。 本文由六個章節(jié)組成。 第一章前言部分闡明了論文研究的目的、意義、以及整篇論文的結構。 第二章文獻綜述回顧了歷史上國內外學者在思維和語言關系上的研究,最后指出這些研究的貢獻性和局限性。 第三章概述了本文所涉及的理論,為整個論文打下了理論基礎。 第四章從兩國認知特點分析造成中英思維差異的認知根源,論述中英思維模式差異的具體表現。 第五章從思維和語言的映射關系出發(fā),從措詞,句子結構和篇章結構三方面,運用實例分析了中英不同思維模式對語篇構成的影響。 第六章為結語,在以上討論的基礎上,對整篇論文進行總結,并闡述該論文所具有的實踐意義和局限性:中英思維模式差異只是導致語篇構成不同的表層原因,其真正的根源是兩民族認知上的分歧。因此,我們要想徹底解決問題,就必需挖掘其根源。本研究的實踐意義是對中英思維模式差異的深入挖掘,將有利于兩國人民更好地理解和接受對方的語篇構成,完成跨文化交際任務。作者認為深入探究中英思維模式對語篇構成的影響,能夠為語言實踐提供有益的幫助。
[Abstract]:Text is a semantic unit with complete meaning. The relationship between the text and the sentence is not the size relation, but the "realization relation", that is, the text is realized by the sentence. But text is not an arbitrary stacking of sentences. The sentences that make up a text are relevant in meaning and structure, and have anaphoric means to link them together. The length of the text varies, and a sentence, phrase or even a word can form a text. We can think in a narrow sense that discourse is composed of words and sentences are composed of certain anaphora. Based on the relationship between thinking and language, this paper makes a contrastive analysis of the influence of Chinese and English thinking patterns on discourse formation. The relationship between thinking and language is not only one of the main topics concerned by philosophy and psychology, but also involves the "Sapir-Wolff hypothesis". In cognitive linguistics, thinking is not only the core of cognition, but also belongs to the cognitive process. The relationship between thought and language embodies a mapping relationship: cognitive linguistics holds that people express a certain thought or emotion in the same language as they embody a conventional image. Iconicity in cognitive linguistics is. The natural connection between the structure of language and the structure of human experience, That is, the language structure directly reflects the empirical structure. In the analysis of the influence of Chinese and English thinking patterns on discourse formation, the tentacles explored by the author are not confined to philosophical, psychological and cultural aspects, but are further applied in cognitive linguistics, from the perspective of mapping. This paper explores the cognitive roots of the influence of Chinese and English thinking patterns on discourse formation and attempts to verify the theory of cognitive linguistics in specific linguistic analysis. This paper consists of six chapters. The first chapter introduces the purpose, significance and structure of the thesis. The second chapter reviews the history of scholars' research on the relationship between thinking and language, and points out their contribution and limitation. The third chapter summarizes the theory involved in this paper and lays a theoretical foundation for the whole paper. Chapter 4th analyzes the cognitive roots of the differences in thinking between China and Britain from the cognitive characteristics of the two countries, and discusses the specific manifestations of the differences in thinking patterns between the two countries. Based on the mapping relationship between thinking and language, Chapter 5th analyzes the influence of different thinking patterns on discourse formation by using examples from three aspects: wording, sentence structure and text structure. Chapter 6th is the conclusion. On the basis of the above discussion, this paper summarizes the whole paper, and expounds its practical significance and limitations: the differences in thinking patterns between Chinese and English are only the superficial reasons leading to the different composition of the text. The real root of this study is the cognitive differences between the two peoples. Therefore, if we want to solve the problem once and for all, we must dig out the root causes. The practical significance of this study is to dig into the differences of thinking patterns between China and Britain. It will help the people of both countries to understand and accept each other's textual composition better and complete the task of intercultural communication. The author believes that further exploring the influence of Chinese and English thinking patterns on discourse formation can provide useful help for language practice.
