【摘要】：詹姆斯·喬伊斯是愛爾蘭20世紀偉大的小說家,其小說集《都柏林人》是他由傳統(tǒng)走向革新風(fēng)格的首部作品。該書內(nèi)含15篇獨立的小說,以都柏林為創(chuàng)作背景,從兒童、少年、成年人和社會生活方面再現(xiàn)了20世紀初期都柏林中下層人民的悲慘生活。近年來,國內(nèi)諸多學(xué)者對《都柏林人》做了研究,大多是對某篇小說進行藝術(shù)賞析,極少運用語言學(xué)理論對它進行系統(tǒng)研究。本研究運用文體學(xué)中的前景化理論分析和解讀詹姆斯·喬伊斯的短篇小說集《都柏林人》。前景化主要指對常規(guī)的背離,該理論由穆卡洛夫斯基提出,經(jīng)什卡洛夫斯基、雅各布森、利奇、肖特和韓禮德等學(xué)者的發(fā)展與完善,逐步形成了較為科學(xué)的理論框架。近年來,前景化理論也得到國內(nèi)學(xué)者的積極關(guān)注,應(yīng)用范圍被擴大到廣告、翻譯和外語教學(xué)等領(lǐng)域。通過前景化理論中的偏離和超常規(guī)兩種方式對小說中典型的前景化現(xiàn)象進行描述、闡釋與評價,旨在揭示其在具體語境中產(chǎn)生的文體效果,為透徹理解《都柏林人》的主題意義、鑒賞喬伊斯作品早期的美學(xué)價值提供客觀依據(jù),希望對研讀喬伊斯其他作品也有借鑒意義。本研究以前景化為理論支撐,分析并探討了《都柏林人》文本中語音、詞匯、語法、語義和語域?qū)用媲熬盎磉_的文體效果。通過分析,本研究發(fā)現(xiàn),喬伊斯多次運用了象征、色彩隱喻、詞匯和句式的重復(fù)等前景化形式來刻畫都柏林人的癱瘓狀態(tài),展現(xiàn)人物心理的復(fù)雜變化,淋漓盡致地揭示《都柏林人》“癱瘓”的主題。本研究表明,運用語言學(xué)理論分析文學(xué)作品,有助于深化對作品主題的理解,欣賞到作品的語言美,推進文學(xué)的不斷發(fā)展。
[Abstract]:James Joyce is Ireland's great novelist in 20th century. His collection of novels, the Dubliners, is his first work from tradition to innovation. The book contains 15 independent novels, set in Dublin, from children to teenagers. In the beginning of 20th century, adults and social life reproduced the miserable life of the lower and middle classes in Dublin. In recent years, many domestic scholars have studied the Dubliners, most of which are artistic appreciation of a novel. It is seldom systematically studied by linguistic theory. This study uses the foregrounding theory in stylistics to analyze and interpret James Joyce's collection of short stories, the Dubliners. Foregrounding mainly refers to deviations from the convention. The theory was put forward by Mukalowski, and developed and perfected by scholars such as Shkalovsky, Jacobson, Leech, short and Halliday, and gradually formed a more scientific theoretical framework in recent years. The theory of foregrounding has also attracted the attention of domestic scholars, and its application has been extended to the fields of advertising, translation and foreign language teaching. The typical foregrounding phenomenon in the novel is described by deviations from the theory of foregrounding and supernormal. The purpose of interpretation and evaluation is to reveal its stylistic effects in specific contexts, to provide an objective basis for a thorough understanding of the thematic significance of the Dubliners, and to appreciate the early aesthetic values of Joyce's works. It is hoped that this study can be used for reference in the study of Joyce's other works. Based on the perspective, this study analyzes and discusses the pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar of Dubliners. The stylistic effects of foreground expression at the semantic and register levels. Through analysis, the present study finds that Joyce has repeatedly used foregrounding forms such as symbolism, color metaphor, lexical repetition and sentence pattern to depict Dubliners' paralysis. This study shows that the use of linguistic theory to analyze literary works helps to deepen the understanding of the themes of the works and to appreciate the beauty of their language. To promote the continuous development of literature.
