【摘要】： 本文在Swales,Hasan的體裁分析理論和Hyland的元語篇分類體系基礎(chǔ)上對英語碩士學(xué)位論文文獻(xiàn)綜述部分進(jìn)行了宏觀和微觀兩個層次的對比研究。對比的語料主要由兩部分組成:15篇由以英語為母語的學(xué)生所作的文獻(xiàn)綜述及15篇由以英語為第二語言的中國學(xué)生所作的文獻(xiàn)綜述。其中前者來自PQDD(ProQuest Digital Dissertations)上國外著名大學(xué)碩士研究生學(xué)位論文,后者則源于2006年和2007年廣東外語外貿(mào)大學(xué)國際商務(wù)英語學(xué)院碩士畢業(yè)論文。該研究的目的在于探求發(fā)現(xiàn)兩組綜述在體裁結(jié)構(gòu)和元語篇策略使用上的異同,從而獲得碩士論文寫作方面的啟示。 首先,作者用定性和描述性方法對文獻(xiàn)綜述的體裁進(jìn)行了對比分析。在這一過程中,作者主要以Swales的交際目的(communicative purpose)為依據(jù),確定各文獻(xiàn)綜述中出現(xiàn)的語步,并對兩個語料庫中出現(xiàn)的各語步進(jìn)行了頻率統(tǒng)計,在此基礎(chǔ)上進(jìn)行了對比,找出兩者之間的異同,形成其語篇體裁結(jié)構(gòu)潛勢。 而后,作者針對元語篇策略的使用對兩組文獻(xiàn)綜述展開了詞匯語法層面的對比研究。研究結(jié)果表明,以英語為母語的學(xué)生和以英語為第二語言的學(xué)生在元語篇的使用上既存在相似點,也存在差異。譬如,兩組成員對連接性元語篇策略和理據(jù)性元語篇策略的使用頻率明顯高于對其他類別的運用;中國學(xué)生所作文獻(xiàn)綜述中自我稱呼語的使用頻率高于以英語為母語的學(xué)生所作的文獻(xiàn)綜述,而對強調(diào)用語,態(tài)度用語和模糊限制語的使用則呈現(xiàn)出相反的情況。進(jìn)一步分析表明,這些差異與語言文化因素,學(xué)術(shù)研究環(huán)境及寫作者個人的意識是緊密相連的。 本文從體裁和元語篇策略出發(fā),對英語碩士論文文獻(xiàn)綜述進(jìn)行了對比研究。這一問題的探討,加深了我們對體裁分析理論,對比分析理論以及元語篇理論的認(rèn)識。同時對文獻(xiàn)綜述特點的了解對碩士論文的寫作也有著積極的指導(dǎo)作用。
