【摘要】：本文收集了六十篇應用語言學專業(yè)的碩士論文(其中中國學生三十篇,以英語為母語的學生三十篇)自建了兩個語料庫,通過手工以及利用Antconc3.3.5與SPSS17.0等數(shù)據(jù)分析軟件收集并分析語料,從宏觀和微觀兩個角度對中國英語專業(yè)研究生和以英語為母語的外國研究生英語碩士論文文獻綜述部分引述動詞時態(tài)的使用情況及其評價性功能進行了比較研究。 通過仔細分析我們發(fā)現(xiàn),不論是中國英語專業(yè)研究生還是以英語為母語的外國研究生,在其論文文獻綜述的寫作中,引述動詞主要采用一般過去時、一般現(xiàn)在時和現(xiàn)在完成時三種時態(tài)形式,并且在這三種時態(tài)中,一般現(xiàn)在時的使用頻率高于另外兩個時態(tài),而現(xiàn)在完成時的使用頻率最低。不過盡管這兩個語料庫的時態(tài)總體分布大致相同,但中國學生和外國學生在時態(tài)使用方面的個體差異卻很明顯。此外,在寫作中,引述動詞的這三種不同的時態(tài)形式除了表達一般的語法規(guī)則含義外,還暗含著不同的評價性功能�？傮w而言,一般現(xiàn)在時用于表達作者對所引述的研究及觀點持支持態(tài)度,一般過去時暗示所引述的觀點和發(fā)現(xiàn)的有效性只限于該研究本身,或者表示作者對其有效性持一定的保留甚至反對態(tài)度,而現(xiàn)在完成時通常表示所引述的觀點和研究與現(xiàn)階段某一領域的研究現(xiàn)狀具有高度相關性。在這方面,中國學生與外國學生基本一致。 從微觀角度來講,引述動詞時態(tài)的評價性功能表現(xiàn)在兩個方面。一方面體現(xiàn)在引述動詞的時態(tài)本身上,另一方面則體現(xiàn)在不同時態(tài)的相互轉換上。一般來講,時態(tài)的轉換,尤其是由一般過去時到現(xiàn)在完成時再到一般現(xiàn)在時的轉換,暗含了所述研究或觀點在逐漸向作者所持觀點靠近的評價性功能。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),以英語為母語的外國研究生在引述動詞時態(tài)間的相互轉換方面大多有著合理的語用動因,發(fā)揮了特定的評價性功能；而中國英語專業(yè)研究生在時態(tài)的轉換上則大多具有很大的隨意性。 通過語料分析,本文較客觀地探索了中國英語專業(yè)研究生和以英語為母語的外國研究生英語碩士論文文獻綜述部分引述動詞時態(tài)的使用情況及其評價性功能,在一定程度上對國內高校高級英語寫作課的教學具有一定的參考意義,并為深入理解英語時態(tài)的語篇語用功能提供了一點有益的啟示。
