【摘要】：在中西文化交流日益頻繁的影響下,許多高校加強(qiáng)對(duì)外宣傳,紛紛開設(shè)英文網(wǎng)站,謀求國際交流與合作,吸引國外學(xué)生和學(xué)者。高校簡(jiǎn)介是人們了解中國大學(xué)的一個(gè)最直接的窗口,而其翻譯質(zhì)量則影響著國外學(xué)生和學(xué)者的選擇。目前,高校簡(jiǎn)介的英譯研究,主要集中在純翻譯理論,文化交際和語篇分析等方面,從系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)角度研究的較少;并且在系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)的研究方面,多數(shù)文章是單一理論的應(yīng)用,例如評(píng)價(jià)理論,人際理論或語類理論,鑒于此,本論文選取三大元功能和語類這兩個(gè)角度對(duì)高校簡(jiǎn)介的英譯進(jìn)行研究,對(duì)比分析原文和譯文的相同點(diǎn)和不同點(diǎn),然后嘗試對(duì)其翻譯質(zhì)量進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià)。本文從中國高校簡(jiǎn)介的網(wǎng)站上隨機(jī)選取高校簡(jiǎn)介和其英文簡(jiǎn)介各20篇,組成語料庫。通過分析發(fā)現(xiàn):在概念功能方面,原文和譯文在及物性過程上的比例類似,因此達(dá)到了概念功能對(duì)等。在人際功能方面,原文和譯文在語氣系統(tǒng)上的比例類似,其中,在語氣結(jié)構(gòu)方面,原文和譯文的直陳語氣都屬最多;在主語類型方面,原文和譯文中的第三人稱都較普遍;此外由于中英文時(shí)態(tài)的不同,原文和譯文的時(shí)態(tài)對(duì)比被省略,因此大體來看,原文的語氣系統(tǒng)在譯文中得到了實(shí)現(xiàn)。但是原文和譯文在情態(tài)值方面的比例卻相差很大,因此原文和譯文在情態(tài)上是不太對(duì)等的。在語篇功能方面,原文和譯文在主位結(jié)構(gòu)上類似,都是參與者主位占大多數(shù),而環(huán)境主位相比較少,所以我們可以認(rèn)為原文和譯文在主位上是對(duì)等的;而在銜接手段中,中文簡(jiǎn)介和對(duì)應(yīng)的英文簡(jiǎn)介卻差異很大,省略手段在中文簡(jiǎn)介中是最多的而照應(yīng)在英文簡(jiǎn)介中是最多的,這主要是因?yàn)橹杏⑽母髯元?dú)特的語言特點(diǎn)造成的。此外,在語類方面,原文和譯文的在語類結(jié)構(gòu)上也是不對(duì)等的。本文運(yùn)用定量和定性相結(jié)合的分析方法總結(jié)了中文高校簡(jiǎn)介(原文)和英文高校簡(jiǎn)介(譯文)的三大元功能和語類的特點(diǎn)并進(jìn)行對(duì)比分析,有助于豐富系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)在翻譯中的應(yīng)用,同時(shí)也可為高校簡(jiǎn)介的英譯研究提供借鑒和參考。
