“塔木德:商人的成功指南”翻譯實踐報告

近年來,中國一直在鼓勵創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè),全國興起一片熱潮。創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè),經(jīng)商致富,是人們在新時期的共同追求,但道阻且艱。此翻譯項目選取了赫爾歇·H·弗里德曼(Hershey H.Friedman)的論文“塔木德:商人的成功指南”。作者通過講述《圣經(jīng)》和《塔木德》中的故事,來論證猶太人的經(jīng)商之法和致富之道,揭示真正的猶太思維和智慧。由于猶太人在創(chuàng)新和創(chuàng)業(yè)經(jīng)商方面一直備受稱贊,本翻譯項目力求通過介紹猶太人的商業(yè)倫理,揭示出猶太傳統(tǒng)經(jīng)典中蘊藏的創(chuàng)業(yè)智慧,以期對中國創(chuàng)業(yè)、創(chuàng)新提供他山之石。原文作為一篇學術(shù)論文,雖然語言總體樸實易懂,無較難語法結(jié)構(gòu),但因內(nèi)容與猶太教和猶太文化關(guān)聯(lián)甚大,且原文作者頻繁引用《圣經(jīng)》和《塔木德》中的哲理性話語,為翻譯增加了一定難度。同時,原文中富含大量對話,語言風格傾向口語化,在中譯之時要求譯者適當調(diào)整譯文語言風格。鑒于此,譯者選取德國功能學派賴斯的文本類型理論和弗米爾的目的論來指導翻譯,運用文本類型論來分析原文的文本類型和文本功能,再運用目的論下的“目的法則”、“連貫法則”和“忠誠法則”來指導翻譯行為,以期生成曉暢易懂的譯文。
