本文為一篇翻譯實踐報告,翻譯原文選自《人類能源史》。能源的發(fā)展給人類帶來巨大繁榮。同時,能源革命帶來的氣候變化給社會與經(jīng)濟造成諸多問題。然而,在《人類能源史》一書中,理查德·羅茲自信地安慰人們,能源發(fā)展帶來的繁榮可以讓人們在未來幾百年存活下來�；诒緯^為新穎的觀點,我們小組決定將其部分章節(jié)翻譯為中文。本項目的翻譯有助于引導人類如何改變環(huán)境以滿足自己的需求,并以保護地球和不打擾大多數(shù)居民為前提,安然走過這個世紀。本文選取了《人類能源史》(第19章)作為翻譯實踐原文,旨在探討尤金·奈達的功能對等翻譯理論指導下的信息類文本的翻譯方法。筆者在翻譯過程中,運用尤金·奈達的功能對等理論作為理論支撐,解決多義詞、被動語態(tài)和長難句翻譯方面的難點。本報告由五個部分構(gòu)成。第一部分介紹翻譯項目的背景、意義和報告的結(jié)構(gòu)。第二部分介紹原文作者、原文文本內(nèi)容和特點。第三部分討論翻譯報告的理論基礎(chǔ)。第四部分為翻譯難點和翻譯方法,通過實例分析,以功能對等理論為指導,探討如何應用這些翻譯策略有效傳遞信息、解決翻譯難點,從而實現(xiàn)翻譯目的。第五部分是總結(jié),回顧翻譯過程中吸取的經(jīng)驗并提出可能存在的問題。
