本翻譯項目旨在通過翻譯國外虛擬現(xiàn)實和虛幻引擎領(lǐng)域的資料,為國內(nèi)研究提供借鑒,并通過翻譯報告總結(jié)翻譯經(jīng)驗,為以后類似文本的翻譯提供有效經(jīng)驗。本翻譯實踐報告原文選自《用于移動和獨(dú)立VR的虛幻引擎》,該書介紹了VR產(chǎn)業(yè)、VR產(chǎn)品生產(chǎn)方式和虛幻引擎等內(nèi)容。筆者以尤金·奈達(dá)的功能對等理論作為翻譯指導(dǎo)理論,通過對原文和譯文的分析來探討科技文本的翻譯方法。報告介紹了翻譯項目、翻譯過程和功能對等理論,并結(jié)合案例從詞匯、句法和篇章三個方面進(jìn)行分析,如何利用各種翻譯方法實現(xiàn)功能對等。經(jīng)過分析筆者發(fā)現(xiàn),原文在詞匯層面大量使用計算機(jī)領(lǐng)域的專業(yè)術(shù)語和含有特定意義的普通詞語;在句法層面多使用被動句和長句;在篇章層面文本順暢連貫。因此筆者在翻譯時,對于詞語翻譯運(yùn)用了詞性轉(zhuǎn)換和詞義引申等方法,對于句子翻譯采用了順譯法、逆譯法和分譯法等方法,對于篇章翻譯,則重點(diǎn)關(guān)注了翻譯文本的銜接與連貫,結(jié)合英漢語言差異,通過詞匯銜接和語法銜接實現(xiàn)篇章的對等。筆者在報告的最后總結(jié)了研究心得,提出了報告的不足之處與展望和建議,希望能對類似的科技文本翻譯有所啟示。
