本翻譯報告是筆者以保羅·瓊斯(Paul Jones)的論文《建筑的社會處境:建筑文化政治經(jīng)濟學(xué)》(Putting Architecture in its Social Place:A Cultural Political Economy of Architecture)為翻譯實踐素材。在翻譯過程中,譯者以關(guān)聯(lián)翻譯理論以及最佳關(guān)聯(lián)原則為指導(dǎo),將翻譯視為明示-推理的過程,并從三個方面進行了案例分析,即:(1)準(zhǔn)確推測作者創(chuàng)作意圖,并清晰地表達出來;(2)考慮讀者認知語境,符合讀者認知期待;(3)使譯文讀者花費最少努力取得最佳關(guān)聯(lián)。報告共分五個部分。首先,報告對翻譯任務(wù)與原文本特點進行闡述。其次,討論了翻譯過程,包括譯前準(zhǔn)備、翻譯中的問題處理以及譯后校對。在關(guān)聯(lián)翻譯理論的指導(dǎo)下,譯者從詞匯、句子以及語篇最佳關(guān)聯(lián)三方面對建筑社會學(xué)論文翻譯進行了研究。最后為翻譯實踐總結(jié),提出在關(guān)聯(lián)翻譯理論的指導(dǎo)下,采用如轉(zhuǎn)換法、語序調(diào)整法、分譯法和省略法等方法進行翻譯,有助于我國建筑社會學(xué)的發(fā)展進步,以期為建筑學(xué)翻譯者提供借鑒。
