本文選取文本為埃文·佐哈爾所著《文化研究論文集》（節(jié)選）。佐哈爾的文化理論拓寬了翻譯研究的范圍,為翻譯這一語(yǔ)言轉(zhuǎn)換活動(dòng)研究提供了新的思路。本文以維奈和達(dá)貝爾內(nèi)的翻譯方法論為理論指導(dǎo),結(jié)合該方法論中的七個(gè)翻譯程式一一借詞、仿造、直譯、置換、調(diào)適、等值和改編,具體分析這些方法在翻譯實(shí)踐中的應(yīng)用。本文所選取的翻譯材料為學(xué)術(shù)性文本,注重文本的內(nèi)容信息。材料中含有大量社會(huì)文化術(shù)語(yǔ)和歷史事件,此外還包含大量英語(yǔ)長(zhǎng)難句,造成了對(duì)于原文本的理解困難。譯者通過(guò)查閱相關(guān)資料和結(jié)合多種翻譯策略,在理解原文的基礎(chǔ)上較為靈活的進(jìn)行翻譯。此次翻譯實(shí)踐中,譯者對(duì)維奈和達(dá)貝爾內(nèi)提出的兩種翻譯方法有了新的認(rèn)識(shí),不再拘泥于非直接翻譯即間接翻譯的翻譯觀點(diǎn),從而在理解該翻譯方法論的基礎(chǔ)上,更加自如地使用翻譯策略,提高翻譯質(zhì)量。
