本翻譯項目原文節(jié)選自大衛(wèi)·比塞爾（David Bissell）的《旅途生活:通勤如何改變城市生活》（Transit Life:How Commuting Is Transforming Our Cities）。該書較為系統(tǒng)地向讀者展示了通勤的各個方面,是關(guān)于通勤的重要著作。原文探討通勤者如何管理時間,并講述超級通勤者經(jīng)歷的考驗與坎坷。雖然關(guān)于通勤的英文書籍較多,但中譯本較少。本報告分為五章。第一章介紹翻譯項目的背景、意義以及本報告的結(jié)構(gòu)。第二章對原文的作者及主要內(nèi)容進行介紹,并分析原文文本類型和語言特征。第三章闡述本報告的理論指導——目的論,此部分包括目的論概述、目的論三原則以及選擇目的論作為理論指導的緣由。第四章在目的論的指導下,從詞匯和句法兩個層面對翻譯難點進行分析,并提出相應(yīng)的解決方法。為解決翻譯難點,譯者主要運用了意譯的翻譯方法以及增譯、語態(tài)轉(zhuǎn)換、拆分等翻譯技巧。最后一章總結(jié)從翻譯過程中得到的啟示并指出翻譯項目的不足之處。
